Cotto couldn't **** with canelo yet he came in heavier and ****** with sergio and geale 2 full middleweights? No he came in lighter then he's been in years on the scales and on fight night specifically because rather the come after canelo like he did the bigger geale he decided he was going to get on his bike and try and win a decision going backwards rather then risk trading and getting knocked out. That was a strategic mistake and not canelos fault.

And wade wasn't on any body's top rankings not ESPN, not RING or anyone else credible. Got the nerve to be a GGG fan and say who did Smith beat when thats the knock on all GGG opponents...they beat nobody. And NOBODY called Angulo a shell when the fight before he dropped lara and was winning the fight before his injury. Canelo dominates and rearranges his face and all a sudden he's a shell? Just like nobody called Cotto old heading into the fight but he gets beat and now you use that excuse to discredit the canelo win. Smith is a better win then unranked bum wade and dragging a WW up 2 full weight classes in a fight that even the WBA deemed too much a mismatch to sanction.

Whatever criteria you want to come up with to judge opponents canelo has fought and beaten higher level of opponents then 35 year old GGG and most of the fighters around canelo age. It's laughable to call a man who at age 26 has accomplished what he has and has fought the names Floyd, cotto, trout, lara, mosely, angulo hell people forget he had a signed contract to fight Paul Williams at age 21. Fight didn't happened because 1 week after it was announced p-will got paralyzed in a motorcycle accident. How you protected when you trying to fight p-will and all these top fighters?

I cant think of anybody else right now in any weight class has done that. And GGG might not of beaten 4 top 10 Ring rated fighters total his entire career. Right now he's only beaten 1 currently ranked RING fighter and I don't think he's EVER beaten 2 ranked fighters at any point in his career. But yeah canelo is the one protected. LMAO

this is all before mayweather exposed him. They thought he was the real deal, then mayweather showed the world that alvarez is just a standard plodder. You would think his boots were made from concrete judging by the way he moves his feet, never seen anything so slow in my life. Geale has absolutely no power Cotto could **** with him all night and care less , Same with Sergio to a lesser extent it wasn't Sergio power that made him elite . Canelo has dynamite in his fists it's not the same thing. That was his only option that fight was to box and use movement to get a decision against the bigger younger stronger Canelo. I'm not blaming Canelo but realistically he had every advantage in that fight youth, size, power, refs the only thing he didn't have is Cottos a better pure boxer and that's what Cotto tried to do to win that fight it was his only option. I had it closer then the refs ( actually a draw or Canelo 115-113 ) but your going to pretend like Cotto isn't on his last legs? Lara took Angulos Soul. He hasn't been sh.it since. Again he lost to Dela Rosa after Canelo which was supposed to be a gimme fight to get in the W column he won 1 round!!!!! . That wins is so worthless. Angulo was soulless and weighed like a soft 190 when he signed that fight. It's not a good win, it's a name like Kirkland but it means nothing.

It's ****** to compare their careers. Gennady turned pro late and wasted his early years in boxing Siberia while being neglected from his promoters he earned his spot the hard way . Canelos been given every break since he was 18 because of the hype he's had behind him. If the tables were turned, Gennadys a Mexican superstar that actual Mexican boxing fans would be proud of and have the respect of the other Mexican fighters ( Sh.it their trying to adopt him right now ) something that right now Canelo can't claim he's disprdspected by almost every past and current Mexican Fighter because they see what he is a Hype driven fighter that popular because women & some of his fanboys want to sleep with him. He's not what he's hyped up to be. He didn't earn his crown. If Canelo was born in Kaza he probably isn't even good enough to make their Olympic team, He probably stays in Europe his whole career and if he had Gennadys career path by the time he breaks out into America if at all he would probably be Gennadys age with a even thinner resume.

He let Canelo fight Lara and trout before his stable fighters got stolen from under his coke sniffing nose. Back then when golden boy had more top fighters, Oscar was willing to take more risks. Now all he has is Canelo. Fighting cotto was worth the risk as he was a big name, 10 yrs older than Canelo and 20 plus pounds lighter.
