De La Hoya protects Alvarez the way that Arum protected De La Hoya.

Canelo took some tough fights early on, but he's not following that path anymore. He's going backwards with his opponent selection. He was significant favorite against every fighter he faced after Lara.

He fought two punching bags (Kirkland and Angulo), a chinless wonder (Khan) who was moving up in weight, and then he got a money fight against Cotto, a fighter literally no one feared in MW and everyone wanted to fight. Canelo was lucky enough to get him to sign the contract. Then he fights Liam Smith who was a paper champion and a no hoper. Who's he going to fight next? Willie Monroe in May? This is not a great career trajectory. I think that this has a lot to do with Oscar. He knows they got dodged a bullet in the Lara fight. I thought he won the fight, many thought Lara should have gotten the decision. But Oscar saw enough in that fight that probably created some doubt, that's why he's put him in these easy fights.

Bob builds is his guys slow, but once they reach a peak he keeps them there.
Are you seriously trying to defend the level of opposition chavez faced? Or that he was protected something arum himself, not me, bragged about last year stating that he purposely put him in with smaller and less talented fighters. Comparing him to canelo when canelo at age 26 has already fought more then 3x the amount of world champions, 3-4x the amount of ring top 10 ranked fighters, multiple top p4p ranked fighters. And the fact chavez even held the wbc belt is a joke because it was unjustly stripped from Sergio, won it vacant against a non world champ and chavez held the joke belt for about 5 mins before Sergio schooled him and took it back. And you say once arum builds you he matches them tough? BS look at the fights chavez got AFTER he finally stepped up and fought Sergio the first top ranked middleweight he faced. He fought 2 fights with Vera. No one feared Cotto yet the fight was virtually a 50/50 fight going in and Cotto was high on every top 10 p4p lists and guys like Arum and many experts picked him to win. Canelo schools him and all a sudden Cotto is a bum and not feared. But you hyping up wins over Zbik and Rubio guys who have never been world champs or highly ranked over first ballot hall of famers, world champs and top ranked fighters. Canelo who is 5 years younger has unified titles and won lineal titles not a paper champ for 5 mins like chavez was but its Canelo who is protected? LMAO

How can you even argue against it

Since Oscar been at the wheel he's Canelo has fought

Kirkland - Inactive without Wolfe, Kirkland also started camp extremly overweight

Cotto - Good win but was in the twilight of his career and probably was outweighed by 15-20 lbs

Khan - Also inactive who's chinny and was outweighed by at least 20 lbs

Smith - Maybe a top 15 at 154 who hasn't beat anyone of substance and was considerably smaller

I get it without Canelo GB is essentially 3rd tier but everyone has to admit that Arums right Oscar is protecting Canelo like his Mom

Because you are picking and choosing what fights you talk about. Oscar was in the picture for Lara and trout 2 very risky fights that you flat out are avoiding in the conversation. And Canelo was not 20lbs heavier stop lying plus cotto came in with a game plan to get on his bike and avoid trading with canelo and came in lighter then he has fought in years as a strategic move which backfired. That's not canelos fault that cotto came in much lighter then he did against sergio and geale. And smith wasn't maybe a top 15 ranked fighter he was literally top 10 on EVERYBODY rankings and Smith is not a small 154lb he's actually damn big for 154 so is Trout, Lara, Kirkland, Angulo. These names at the age of 26 when there is nobody close to canelos age fighting this level of competition hell look at a fighter like Spence who is older then canelo and still ain't fought a legit top 10 ranked fighter yet let alone a dozen world Champs like canelo has faced. You are trying to hold canelo to a standard you don't hold any other fighters to. You name the fighter you want to compare canelo to and ill give you a breakdown of how flawed their opponents have been I can play that game too. Smith is a better win then GGG has this year and comparable to the top level of fighters he has faced his entire career. Smith was ranked #8 in the world at 154 and he don't even crack Canelo top opponents. How many top 8 ranked fighters has GGG faced his entire career? I'll wait because the list aint long. But Canelo is the protected one not the guy deep in his 30s still fighting prospect level opponents on house arrest who are nowhere near anyone's top rankings. LMAO

Getting jabbed by an 83 year old, lol. I hope Oscar doesn't respond because his trash talk is corny and stale and it reminds me of Hillary trying to tell jokes. Just shut up and put that coked up smile on when Canelo whips GGG.

might think im trolling but i genuinely wouldnt be surprised if theres something sexual going on between canelo and oscar, never known a promoter and a fighter to be that close, and for them to be so far up each others arses. Know canelo is straight but maybe he likes de la hoya when he sticks on his fishnets and high heels

                  Please use Paragraphs

Honestly This is just a bunch of rambling excuses glad you didn't defend the Khan or Kirkland fight though

Let's start with Cotto, he choose to get on his "bike " because He was tiny compared to Canelo he couldn't **** with the younger bigger stronger fighter and expect to win or go the distance. You proved my point

Smith. I don't care what rankings had him he isn't a top 10, he was gifted a title against Thompson who's essentialky a nobody. Like I said before Smith may have been the least deserving champ from 140-HW. Seriously can you name another least deserving champ. Really top 8 you don't believe that lets take a look. Was D Wade top 10 ? Because he was in there but at least he had a W over Soliman. Smith wishes he had a Solimin on his CV

Would you bet that Smith beats
                  Canelo ( already lost )
                  Lara
                  Charlos
                  j-Roc
                  Trout
                  Hatley
                  Vanes
                  Lubin
                  Hurd
                  Ishe

And I'm sure if I looked at Bixrec I can list some more fighters that Smith would be the underdog and orobably wouldn't beat. Smith has beaten nobody

I can't knock the Lara (he lost) & Trout fight. Angulo was a shell of his former self he lost to Dela Fisa right after for gods sake. And believe Canelo will fight anyone

But Give it up Canelos been protected like a fragile egg since Oscar took over this is the truth because that's all he has

I'm not even joking when I say this

I think the 2nd requirement if Oscar will sign a fighter is if He'd suck their d.ick

You got Canelo, Lemiuex, Rosado, I was watching one of their LA fight club things And they signed up a young guy from Miami with no real am experience but they were raving about his looks that's basicalky why he got signed

Oscars trying to duplicate another Oscar
