    Describe the Japanese Boxing Style

    highly cerebral? extreme passion? mechanical precision?

    i kid i kid. in all seriousness, Not many have impressed once they leave their island. not sure where all this "highly cerebral, extreme passion" bs is coming from. That can be said of fighters all over the world, not just Japan. Like this kid at 122 naouye , fully expect him to get undressed the minute he leaves his comfort zone of feasting on bums.

      Yes, technically simple but sound and precise. By the book fighters.

      Accumulation of punishment usually gets to them although there have been a few exceptions.

      In my opinion.

        Those were words I threw out.

              Pretty much.

              They seem to stick to the classical, traditional style. Which is not necessarily an insult.

                From what I've seen of them, "stoic" is the first word that comes to mind. They usually come to fight, regardless of punching power.

                Fights to watch: Yamanaka/Moreno 1 and 2, Hasegawa vs. Martinez/Ruiz,
                Ioka vs. Reveco, Miura vs. Vargas/Thompson

                  Try looking up Shinsuke Yamanaka if you're unfamiliar with Japanese boxers, he's pretty good.

                    Anyway, the one Japanese fighter who I followed was Koki Kameda. MF was fast and had a nice bully style.
