And a Prime Ali beats Tyson, Sugar Ray Leonard beats Mayweather, Ironman beats Batman, Goku beats Mighty Mouse. Jesus beats Abraham and Moses in a triple threat. Chuck Norris beats Jason Stathom. Hulk Hogan beats Brock Lesner....what do all these have in common with the OP of this thread and RJJ's comments? They are all fantasies that will never happen in real life. Except for the Hogan one because he has "creative control"

Sedans vs trucks, pencils vs pens, wizards vs witches, Lil'G vs northbound challenges. Lol
Timing can negate speed. But we're talking about incredible speed here. I don't see how GG would have been able to have beaten Roy. Roy was a huge MW. He had a 4/5" reach advantage and he was heavier. As well as being much faster, he had more variation, he had an incredible unorthodox defence which meant he was extremely hard to hit clean, and like GG, he also possessed one punch knockout power in either hand. GG is very easy to hit and he can mark up easy. Roy would have found him at will. It's okay saying that GG didn't respect Kell's power, (which was true) but look at how easily Kell found him. Imagine that had been the Tate version of Roy at the O2. I don't see how anybody could have favoured GG. Despite his weak resume at MW, Roy was clearly on another level.
What do you mean GG wouldn't get owned by Tarver? You have to take so many things into consideration. First off, Tarver was a very good fighter. He had ability. Second of all, could he have knocked out Roy in his prime?
I love GG. But there's no telling what would happen if he moved up 2 weight classes and then came back down in quick succession.
It's pointless trying to do direct comparisons.
It's so easy to type that GG would never lose to a guy like Tarver. We just don't know at this stage.
Duh, ofcourse he could knock him out he fought him when he was in his prime when he fought him you don't suddenly become out of your prime just because someone found your weak ass chin cut the B.S.
I like Roy Jones Jr too but he clearly had the frame and the height to move up weight classes with ease that and he started his pro-career at a completely different time to what GGG did the comparison like you said its pointless.
It goes two ways GGG chin is better, Roy has the better speed but he doesn't have the better footwork he would get the ring cut off and he'd find himself in a place that Tarver and Glen Johnson put him... on his back out cold.
If ifs and ands were pots and pans, there'd be no work for the tinker
Imagine what GGG would do to Roy Jones Jr not on roids oh my god that shiet would be criminal I don't care about you nostalgifants we all know If Tarver can land a shot like that on Roy that it would be open season hunting for Golovkin on that fragile little chin it's probably worse than Amir Khans tbh.
other greats ended their careers much worse
Look at all the knockouts archie moore, ezzard charles recieved past their prime...doesnt make them any less great.....Robinson took losses and got battered by guys he'd dominate but was past prime
you can make all the jokes you want in the world but anyone who knows boxing knows, GGG could lace a prime Roy Jones boots
all fighters who stay around too long take bad losses

if his chin was weak the entire time, it wouldnt have taken 50 fights for it to get cracked
age, wear and tear, cutting weight, played a part...if you wont acknowledghe that then you are clearly trolling
his punch resistance went down as he advanced in age...prime Jones took solid sHOTS and was only dropped one time in 49 fights
