I think the interviewer should have given a name.
I think some of the points made are reasonable, but if its a "TV series" as the person said, then they should have put it on one channel and marketed it that way as several posters have said.
They could've hired Hirschman or another person who had experience putting boxing on TV. Then hire Schaffer or another promoter to do your marketing/promotion.
I am hoepful they can tun things around. IMO just reinvest in Tuesday night. Make that PBC night of the week. then maybe do 1 or 2 big cards a month on SHowtime.Comment

Fans will always find a way to see it regardless. Knowing that top fighter A has just added top fighter B in his resume is more important than seeing him on free tv beating a cab driver. It is more important than having to wonder for the rest of your life the outcome of such fight. It leaves a lasting legacy.Last edited by Bullrider; 09-30-2016, 02:52 PM.Comment

For some it was more fights on TV. Maybe they thought that meant more quality fights for the names they knew. I didn't think it meant that, especially when we are in the era where "stars" drive the sport rather than "boxing" driving the sport.
Maybe , just like Horse Racing (which also used to be huge in the US) maybe the best way to nring back interest is show less but make them all quality fights on paper and ride the wave once a star develops.Comment

Yes and no. For me it was more important that it was on more regularly. I pay for cable, HBO and Showtime so I don't technically get any "free" boxing.
