Take someone like Curtis Stevens for example. He's been stopped by a guy named Marcos Primera who took the fight on zero days notice and didn't even train. He was 19-15. He dropped Stevens before stopping him while he was out on his feet.

Then you have Jesse Brinkley who made Stevens take a knee in the 6th round and was saved by the bell. Then Brinkley had Stevens out on his feet in the 12 round and was once again saved by the bell.

Here's where it gets really weird. You have a guy like N'dam who can't bust a grape, but also dropped and almost stopped Curtis Stevens.

Stevens has been dropped at least 4 times not even counting GGG.

Based off the above facts, GGG should've put Stevens out cold, but he didn't. He got a corner stoppage. If you ask me, Stevens was in worst physical condition against Brinkley than GGG. It's debatable.

But the point is, is you take a guy like Jacobs who got stopped by Pirog. No shame there. Then he got a flash knockdown against Mora and people complain about his chin.

But Curtis Stevens was actually stopped by a guy with a worse KO% than Mora on zero days notice and no one complained about his chin leading into that fight. More importantly, GGG didn't knock Stevens out cold. Why?

      • curtis stevens was a top 10 MW and was stopped. the corner threw in the towel, Ref, please make the bad man stop, they said.

why didn't Julian Jackson stop a 3-18 bum with 8 KO losses.

        • The title is appropriate. In Stevens' words, "he has break you down power".

Golovkin isn't fast enough to land his biggest punch when an opponent is in a vulnerable position, most of the time(Ishida). Unlike jackson.

          • GGG may be the hardest puncher in the sport today but he can't touch Jackson. The essential measurement of power is the ability to separate your opponents from their senses, GGG rattles brains but Jackson shuts them down.

            • The shelling up has to be taken into account.

Lemiux and Stevens fights.... it's like GGG was fighting heavy bag after the first 2 rounds. They don't want to get KOed so badly, so it's harder to land that shot. most KO shots happen when the other person is throwing their own punch/combo.

Monroe, Brooke, Stevens, Wade would've all been stretched out if they or their corners didn't beg the ref to make the bad man stop.

                Not true.

For example, you can have a fast porsche that hits a person, it will send that person many yards away.

however, a tank may not bounce the person away. it will crush the person.

It's similar with the 2 punches. Jackson's punch is like a pitch. it flings the skull more.

now line those 2 different types of power against a wall(similar to the core)...... the ferrari would bounce off the wall. The tank would go through the wall.

GGG's power is applicable to both head and body. Jackson's body shots didn't stop nobody.

on this site, people in the past are always better than the present day, despite all evidence saying otherwise

People say Canelo has more 1 punch KO just LOL. he hits his opponents and they still throw back. When GGG hits someone, they shell up. This is why it's harder to 1 punch KO someone.

GGG hits someone.... and it's like you can almost see the opponents life bar go down.

By the half way point of the fight, you will see their manhood leave their bodies.

                    It's devastating.

julian jackson hit harder than golovkin. jackson's opponents used to go out before they hit the canvas. golovkin has heavy hands, but jackson was about as explosive a puncher as yu're ever going to see.

                    • so julian jackson couldnt knock out someone who was 9-16, but he hits harder than GGG. Jesus christ, imagine if GGG didnt knock someone out who was 9-16. Actually, imagine the uproar if GGG fought someone who was 9-16, why it makes me laugh when people bring up names like jackson and make out everyone of there fights was really difficult
