True. I gotta give Tyson respect for doing the job in style. But IMO his opponents after his 'break' were total crap.
Im not sure Tyson deserves that much credit for beating them.

Watching the Holfield fight a few days ago, Tyson was terrible. And started to fight dirty just to get out. He butted Holyfield and tried to blame him! But thats a whole other topic.

Your right. Holyfield a natural light heavywieght was pushing Tyson around and working his ass over. I will admit that Evander was the king at butting and getting away with it.

Well, he was the only one to ever knock out Larry Holmes. Now some say Holmes was a shot fighter, but he went 12 rounds with Holyfield several years after the Tyson fight. His record after the Tyson fighter was 21-3, and the 3 loses where close title fights.

And ya, Tyson didnt have his best fight againt Holyfield either. But he had way too many problems at that point in his career.

Douglas was clear as a bell when he stood up at the count of 8. Had the count been a few seconds quicker he would have been up all the same.He was waiting for 8 like many other fighters do. Tyson wasn't robbed that night, he was beaten.

Tyson was beaten up from the opening bell to the KO, with the exception of 10 seconds in the 8th. I remember watching it and thinking to myself "When is Mike gonna turn up the heat?". He seemed slow and was constantly beaten to the punch by Douglas, who had a great jab and a great fightplan. Finally, in the 8th, Mike touched him up, and I remember thinking "Geez, that took a long time for Mike to get to him. Oh well, the 9th round should be the last." I went to grab a drink, came back and Douglas was not only hanging in there, but back to laying a beating on Mike. And then the 10th - it was like a dream - you knew it had to happen and yet you couldn't quite believe it. It was probably the most stunning upset I've ever seen in boxing.
