Did anyone here watch that fight live? I heard storys of people throwing up and crying when that fight happened. So has anyone here seen the great upset when it happened, or know someone that did?

One of the more memorable moments of my life. I'll never forget that night. Fantastic. Nothing against Mike; but watching history unfold before you're very eyes is an incredible experience. I was high as a kite on the experience without any help at all for other substances. I'll never forget where I was and what I was doing when Mike lost to Douglas. That was a ***ell of a moment....a freakin' ***ell.

I was in Georgetown, Washington DC. Bars all along side the street. Me and my buddies were walking towards one when we heard in just about every bar a roar of people in what sounded like shock. People came rushing out and started yelling "TYSON JUST GOT KNOCKED THE **** OUT!"

I thought he was drunk. I told my buddies I had set the VCR to record the fight so we'd see it ourselves.

....I saw it live and it was great. Myself, my brother, and some friends had stopped by my parents house to watch it. My Dad went to bed because he just knew that Douglas had no chance. I went and woke him up and told him he was about to miss something huge. He just sat there in shock as he watched Tyson get knocked the **** out and crawl around on the canvas until he found that mouthpiece and put it in backwards.

I was a young punk who was in my video game prime (especially Mike Tyson's punch out)...

I remember getting some safeway chicken and jojos and watching that fight with a couple of buddies...I was in shock and very sad...I was such a Tyson homer I was in the King camp the next day when they protested the long count.

Lets just say I have done a lot of growing up since then-but to be honest it was a horrid night, I wold have felt better being tied to a chair watching my dad **** my mom then watching Mike get KO'd.

            Good Times.

Cool storys. Anyone else got one.

I just wish they would of had a rematch.

Tyson's defeat made headline news the next day. As well as the Monday morning nation morning news shows. That is how surprising his defeat was. Yep. We witnessed sports history that day.
