Because Golovkin-Jacobs isn't really similar in either sense. I don't see the comparison either way.
It's all an attempt to discredit GGG in the event he dominates Jacobs. That's all.

I like Jacobs and I like GGG. Both are true ring warriors. This should be an excellent fight. Jacobs can take it if he gets GGG in trouble early on by landing something solid and jumping on GGG. If it goes past 5 rounds I see GGG breaking him down and stopping him. Very intriguing matchup.

Jacobs' weakness will be his undoing here. His defense isn't sound enough for him to outbox Golovkin over twelve and he doesn't handle pressure too well. That means his chin will be exposed at various points during the fight. At least it'll be exciting while it lasts.

Only fighters beating ggg before his decline are fighters with the insane amount of power required to keep him honest. Remember lemuiex is a great puncher and ggg did not even notice. You need canelos power/accuracy with Jacob's speed and style. That hybrid gets the job done.
I don't remember that at all.

Who is the best fighter Lemieux KO'd????????????????????????

He couldn't stop glassy chinned Alcine,as a matter fact he got whipped around the ring.

          ...what about GGG's weaknesses???
Jacobs isn't the one that drops his hands to his waist after every punch.

Who's to say GGG will be eager or able to move foreward.

True. But if they trade, who hits harder and who has the better chin?

Jacobs also isn't a slick boxer either. He is a puncher and he will have to trade to win. He has a decent jab , but he is not slick, like some think.I just don't see him having the stamina and defense to stay away too long. Plus who knows how his body will react to a grueling fight. He hasn't really had a grueling fight since coming back from cancer. Chemo and radiation have a way of sapping your body of energy. Yes he is healthy now, but who knows what affects it had on his body to cure the cancer. He didn't have a great chin before when he lost to Pirog , who is a good puncher. But getting dropped by Mora is not good and doesn't bode well. for him.

Lemieux was actually almost stopped by alcine and saved by the bell in that fight

But no one wants to talk about that

As far as upset maybe. But I think GGG takes boxing more seriously than Tyson did.

Here's another interesting tidbit about Jacobs. Since turning pro, I think he's gone 12 rounds once. That was in a fight he actually stopped the guy.

Also how many rounds has he lost? The judges say he lost 1 round to Pirog. White washed all his opponents since being back. Lost 1 or 2 rounds to Smith. I don't think he lost a round to Fletcher. You saw what he did to Quillin. Dropped Mora 7 times. White washed Truax.

Point is not only does Jacobs stop folks, but he's a good boxer that's been nothing short if dominant.

He will shock many people come Dec10th

douglas was a 42-1 underdog. so no.

that said, it will be one of the biggest events of the year, and maybe the very biggest, if jacobs stops golovkin.
