Comments Thread For: Lewkowicz Sends Warning Message To Today's Boxers
Sampson Lewkowicz, the head of Sampson Boxing, confirms that a fight between WBA 130-pound belt-holder Jason Sosa and Gervonta Davis will not be taking place.
Right on the money. Fighters are much less per year and are trying to make more per fight.
Which in theory is good. However when the market isn't there and fighters are forced to wait and see in sure there thinking things from a different perspective.
Truth. We'll see who the real fighters are, the ones who want to be great and believe in themselves to win big fights and then increase their worth and their paydays, and we'll who the Al Haymon/Floyd Mayweather style pretenders are who may just retire rather than fight the best for fair money.
We are already kind of seeing this with certain fighters sitting out and doing nothing.
