Fury has depressive tendancies, maybe bi-polar syndrome, which is an illness, not a sign of weakness. But I'm sure he could have handled the media backlash over those comments he made. He could also have handled the fact that AJ, with his paper title, and the Sky Sports publicity machine plugging him non-stop, is now THE world HW champ to 9 out of 10 UK sports fans, with Fury's historic win over Wlad being written off as some kind of fluke.
It's the PED allegation made against him by UKAD, and the way people have reacted to it, that have pushed him over the edge. Fury has been found guilty of nothing, and is confident that his name will cleared when the case goes to the tribunal. But that doesn't seem to have registered with the British public, or with most members of this forum.
To many people now, Fury is a drug cheat ... a lying scum bag ... all those *****s are the same ... etc. And because of the laws of sub judice, this proud - arrogant, if you want to but that way - and outspoken guy was faced with the prospect of attending media calls and pressers, then climbing into the ring to fight Wlad, without being able to say anything or make any response to the slurs and insults being thrown at him.
Think about that.
