What moot point are you talking about? Kovalev said he hasn't paid attention to Ward before 2016. In the four years prior to 2016 (2012-2015), Ward has fought 3 times. 3 times. Thats not a lot to see. A whole lot of fighters have fought more than 3times in 4 years. Im ssorry your boy has taken extended vacations, but don't get salty at me for pointing that out. There is NOTHING false about that statement.

Kovalev doesn't take hard punches at all.
He was dropped in the amateurs in full head gear.

Dude, we're not talking about this year. Go read the headline again. Kovalev says "before 2016". Before 2016, you have to go all the way back to 2011 to find Ward fighting more than once a year. Im pretty sure Kovalev has seen Ward's2016 fights. But go back to 2011. Why would Kovalev be watching Ward then? They weren't even blips on each others radar back then. My point is simple. Before 2016 (as in, not including 2016), Ward hasn't been busy in a while. 3 fights in 4 years. Unless Sergey wants to watch the Super 6, there's not much to see BEFORE 2016

By the time Kovalev burst on the scene, Ward was in the midst of his lawsuits and inactivity. Makes sense. Glad he is taking the time to go back and study him.
