Thats not a lot to see. A whole lot of fighters have fought more than 3times in 4 years. Im ssorry your boy has taken extended vacations, but don't get salty at me for pointing that out. There is NOTHING false about that statement.
yet.....he.....fought.....twice this year....and once last year.....you are making no point

the man has been a pro since 2004...trust me....he saw him fight before 2016

fighters say stuff like that to dismiss their opponent all the time but face to face...Kovalev is all humble..interviews "idk if I can beat andre ward"....that was after barrera....his first fight of 2016, so obviously for him to know how good he is/was he took time to watch him

seriously....he better be prepared for November...JDJ cant help him nor can his fans

He was dropped in the amateurs in full head gear.

Jones has fought tons of hard punchers....Kovalev...not so much.

Let's see him win a title at heavyweight:lol1:
RJJ beat John Ruiz to win his HW title. John Freaking Ruiz! And he was roided to the gills when he did it.

when did you start watching boxing? when he was in his 40s and a shell of himself

obviously you haven't watched many of his fights...its boxing....Jones took hard shots and didn't flinch when he was young and fought from 154-heavy and got dropped once

if he could take a punch he wouldn't have accomplished the things he did

I sure you probably didn't like him or didn't watch him in his prime.

John Ruiz hits harder than Kov and he shook those solid right hands off

That's like saying Oh....Tyson couldn't take a punch....dude got stopped one time in his prime and he took big shots in many fights even though he dominated

he ended his career getting stopped and dropped 3 times and nearly back to back

          lay off the sherm bro
Prime for prime, with Kovalev using the same ... ahem ... supplements... as RJJ used in his heyday, or alternatively, prime for prime with pre-fight random PED testing, Kovalev vs RJJ would be a 50/50 fight.

[quote=therealpugilist;17067414]kovalev is a very good fighter, and could potentially make the hall

but with all due respect to you and kovalev

he could not carry roy jones, jock strap on his best day

roy would be 2-10 steps ahead the entire fight.

Dude, we're not talking about this year. Go read the headline again. Kovalev says "before 2016". Before 2016, you have to go all the way back to 2011 to find Ward fighting more than once a year. Im pretty sure Kovalev has seen Ward's2016 fights. But go back to 2011. Why would Kovalev be watching Ward then? They weren't even blips on each others radar back then. My point is simple. Before 2016 (as in, not including 2016), Ward hasn't been busy in a while. 3 fights in 4 years. Unless Sergey wants to watch the Super 6, there's not much to see BEFORE 2016

By the time Kovalev burst on the scene, Ward was in the midst of his lawsuits and inactivity. Makes sense. Glad he is taking the time to go back and study him.

before 2016 he had over 25 fights....he saw him fight

no one ignores a guy dominating in a division right below them is my point, especially an undefeated, gold medallist
