The WBA need to let them work this out as Jacobs only has to drop the belt and he can get the deal he wants with or without the strap. I don't see them meddling as they know this is a delicate process.Comment

Why? That's why:
"They are negotiating. Already, Jacobs' handlers have sent an offer – the numbers – to [Golovkin’s promoter] Tom Loeffler. That’s what I’ve heard," said Mendoza to skysports.com.
... i.e. they sent an "offer" in order to ask for the "right money" -- team Jacobs repeatedly said that "if the right money" isn't there they will pass this fight...
... on another hand ( http://www.latimes.com/sports/boxing...nap-story.html ):
(...) Loeffler currently negotiating with Al Haymon, the powerful manager of Golovkin’s World Boxing Assn. co-champion Daniel Jacobs of Brooklyn.
Although Jacobs first aimed to fight at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, he’s said to be receptive to the idea of moving to Manhattan.
Loeffler said talks with Haymon have been “cordial,” after earlier this year striking a deal for Golovkin to fight Haymon fighter Dominic Wade.Comment

It just seems unusual for DiBella to send an offer. Haymon didn't send an offer to Pacquiao for Broner, it was the reverse; Arum sent an offer. A-sides make offers, B-sides accept or reject offers. It seems like K2 waits for offers vice making offers! GGG is the undisputed MW champion isn't he?Why? That's why:

Jacobs will have his hands full even equaling the damage Brook did to GGG... let alone topping it. Both GGG and Jacobs can pop... but GGG has better boxing skills, and Jacobs has better speed. So, even in defeat, Jacobs will rattle GGG a bit before he gets starched. Hopefully this one gets made.
That goes to show how much you know....or don't.
Jacobs does everything better than WW Kell Brook.Comment
