We saw what Rogelio Medina did to James Degale... put Chavez Jr. in there with Degale and it could be like that but with more power, a better fight. Gilberto Ramirez would kick Chavez Jr's ass though. Too long, too powerful, too fast. He's like Fonfara but more talented and more powerful. Degale is a good fight for Chavez though. Maybe Badou Jack.

How about Chavez Jr. vs Bernard Hopkins for Hopkins farewell fight at 168 and for the sake of name recognition and posterity? Hopkins would probably still school him as Chavez is pretty slow and awkward but on the other hand Chavez jr throws bombs and big left hooks a lot harder than BHop throws them. It would be an interesting style clash and have good name value, be marketable.
      I really like this idea

Getting in a little wake & bake before breakfast bambam? I'd be a hell of a fun fight but dude, Fonfara knocked him out! lol

I love the Hopkins idea. They could do something close to 75 and Chavez would have no weight excuses...Should get Bernard another good payday, and I'm sure Chavez needs the cash.

Thurman-Porter's 2.4 million was on network TV so that rating sucks. Spence vs Bundo was right after the Olympics and is therefore a meaningless outlier. If ratings were normally good like you imply, PBC wouldn't have lost 500 million dollars already. Clearly, the ratings aren't as good as you think

Also, as boxing fans, the most important thing is the quality of the fights, and Spence-Bundo was a complete joke of a mismatch, which any matchmaker should have known after Keith Thurman won every single round against Bundu the year before. 41 year olds who already lost every round in their one recent fight at the top level should not be getting another fight against the most talented young welterweight in the world. That's just common sense for any good matchmaker but if PBC has proven one thing, it's that they don't have good matchmakers.
I guess you feel that boxing on network TV is a bad thing? HBO has been giving us mismatches, and asking us to pay for them at that! Put aside your Haymon hate for a second, and just think as a consumer (if you can). Why I should I pay to see Pacquiao vs. Bradley III @ 147, when I don't have to pay to see Thurman vs. Porter @ 147? If I'm a HBO subscriber, why am I paying for Crawford vs. Postol, yet Salido vs. Vargas was the best fight on HBO all year! There's a lot of people hoping for the down fall of the PBC, just so we can go back to what? Pacquiao vs. Algieri PPVs? Do we want more Mayweather vs. Berto PPVs? Do we want more Canelo vs. Smith PPVs? Or do we want more Easter Jr. vs. Comney, and LSC vs. Framptons, and more Thurman vs. Porters?

None! It's a free fight on network TV! 6 million people watched it. Isn't that great for the sport? I didn't pay to watch the Cavaliers vs. Warriors. I didn't pay to watch Broncos vs. Panthers. I didn't pay to watch Husain Bolt and Michael Phelps! Why the **** do I have to pay $70 for Canelo vs. Smith, Crawford vs. Postol, GGG vs. Lemieux, or Pacquiao vs. Vargas?
