I've been to a couple Canelo fights. He's not losing fans. He's 26 and gaining more mexican American fans. Kids are growing up watching Canelo like I did watching Chavez Sr. They idolize Canelo. I don't get ggg fans at all. First they were moaning and groaning that Canelo wouldn't get in the ring with ggg. Now gbp offers ggg a contract and they are moaning and groaning that Canelo is not offering ggg enough money. WTF. The fight is made as long as ggg accepts the terms. Canelo is not blocking the fight from happening. If you're true boxing fans you put the pressure on GGG to accept so we can all see the fight we deserve. Canelo ducking is no longer the obstacle. Literally all ggg has to do is sign the contract and the fight is on. All the other bull chit is pestering by ggg in order to get more money. If it doesn't get made now is on Ggg and his team. Canelo agreed to come up to 160, GGG's natural weight to challenge ggg. GGG is not negotiating anything and expects Canelo to give him a fair deal too. Ggg is not negotiating at all.
Canelo is definitely the A side. However without a big name, the income goes down. Especially when you got this so called Beast waiting in the wings. Canelo needs GGG to make the biggest income and GGG needs him to crack the PPV scene.

If GGG finally gets the fight and wins with a brutal KO then he becomes a PPV star, and at that point all his fights will be PPV because the attraction is the action and his KO's ala Mike Tyson.

65 to 35 is fair. Again I would wait as long as possible and run from GGG for at least another year

I just recently retired from being a promoter of many different type events over 25+ years. So I do have an idea what I'm on about. 70/30 Canelo's favor is fair, and would be 2-3x what GGG has ever been paid. He's way down the ladder in the B-side of the equation. Absolute final offer should be 65/35 Canelo, and GGG doesn't even deserve that. GGG refuses, it's an obvious duck. Canelo is the big draw. End of story.

Alvarez's flop, even on just the initial projections from just the first look at the satellite numbers, still ended up doing over twice the business that Golovkin's PPV did (even on K2's inflated number, Alvarez did twice the homes, at a price that was 40% beyond what Golovkin charged).

Golovkin's getting nowhere near the 60/40 that K2 is seemingly asking for (and I doubt that he even gets 70/30, tbh); he has an offer for $10m (break that down however you wish).

He's likely not getting a penny beyond that.

Nobody says otherwise but he's not a flat fee B sider. The longer it takes, the worse for Canelo. He's back in May 2017 probably vs some GGG victim. You think he'll try to drain them to 157 or something?

By over you mean under? Pugmire reported 150k for Ggg, and under 300k for Canelo, whatever that means. Given that Ggg has 3 belts, maybe 4 by then, and disgraced challenger Canelo forfeited one of them, I think Ggg can do better than 30%, it's only right.

Tom Loeffler was the only source that said anything about the numbers for Golovkin-Lemieux, with everyone else taking Loeffler's word and parroting it as gospel.

Pugmire has the initial projection for Alvarez-Smith in the 250k-300k range, with only the initial satellite numbers available to help gauge the actual number.

              nice try though

He's got his sources, he decided to publish 150k, and under 300k for Alvarez. You're saying you'll wait on Glaser to give the final numbers, just how much under 300k he scored? What do you think Canelos next Ppv does, in may 2017?

Canelo is the lineal MW champ, see all the rankings. We all agree he's a fraud of a champ? Ok then. He's also bigger fight night than many Mws, including Ggg. Nowhere to go
