Probably a investment that shouldn't been made years ago before Mayweather vs Pacquiao happened, seems like it was started about 2 years too late however lets see how things play out, plenty of companies lost a lot of money its first FEW YEARS before things turned around

If it doesn't work they just go back to the old format and work mostly with Showtime, not like fighters are all of a sudden going to become Free Agents and go elsewhere and Haymon will go away it is the same as someone WWE Vince McMahon investing in the XFL, investors money was used not his own money, seems to be the same with Haymon.

Wouldn't give up on it though, maybe cutback and only showcase young up and coming guys like they been doing this year instead of spending money on guys who want to fight weak opponents for big Paydays. With Schaefer is back maybe he can help turn things around.

is a long ass article, give it a look
That investment that was put into PBC may have plummeted but shoot Al Haymon made out quite nicely. Dude prolly made anywhere from 15-20 percent of the 430millon, so that means he made about 64 to 80+million in a year. Uncle Al did damn good for himself.

Al could care less about PBC, dude was just looking to swindle and funnel that investment money into his pocket.

But but but Uncle Al is trying to bring boxing back to the public eye doe.

        What a joke that was.

Al Haymon is the most powerful man in boxing and the sport has never been in a worse state. How can anyone think this man is going to be the saviour of boxing?

Not only is he strangling the competition but is killing his own company. PBC makes no sense and never made any sense. Does PBC look like a thriving company? Since it started, what inroads has boxing made into the mainstream? What progress has been made? He made a bunch of timebuys but they won't yield results because nothing great has emerged.

OK. Let's compare Haymon to Hearn. Yes, Eddie Hearn.

Hearn makes a profit. He is affiliated with a channel (Sky) who are able to offer him huge promotions. Matchroom is a brand. He has a huge cash cow in Joshua. Boxing in Britain is booming.

Haymon...doesn't make a profit, except good paydays for his fighters and their...adviser. Boxing in America is on its last legs. The timebuys are scattered over so many channels. He doesn't have a cash cow.

I honestly thought Haymon was smarter than this. I also thought PBC would make the sport better, but it's made it worse, far worse.

What do you mean? He has Adrien Broner.

PBC sucks. This is what happens when your best fighters don't fight eachother.

I think it's very realistic to think that AL Haymon had a huge hand in killing boxing in America. The guy has created a pay scale for fighters that just is not realistic. Now these guys expect to make millions fighting weak competition. This traces back to guys like Berto.

Remember when he wanted something like 6 million for Paul Williams for the Pavlik fight. Arum lost his mind. Paul Williams who couldnt even sell out ball rooms.
