I'd rather see Canelo fight someone that has power at 160 like a Jacobs or Lemieux..... that's Golovkin's biggest and most threatening asset so it makes sense to somewhat prepare and acclimatise himself to that. He's going to be following Monroe around the ring, won't teach him anything to help him in a GGG fight.

I'm thinking Canelo's 160lbs fight will be against Tureano Johnson. TJ's not a big puncher, not a mover, coming off a year long layoff due to shoulder injury, cheap, and an in-house GB fighter.

This is his trainer's way of admitting that his fighter has a problem moving and fighting the boxer's style. Smart move to know your fighter's weakness but should probably not state it in the interviews. Just use the excuse that everyone does and say that they are looking for bigger more economical fights. This is BOXING, everyone is not going to come forward and let you hit them!!! How ridiculous....

It's one thing to say a possible opponent has a boring style, boxing is part entertainment.

It's pretty revealing to say if we hadvto fight that style, we'd rather face the guy who's 10-15 pounds lighter.
