Come on man. Golovkin was willing to fight Froch and Chavez at 168, but not Ward. At the end of the day we all know the risk reward equation was not comfortable for GGG. They are the ones that turned down the fights. This amounts to ducking or taking a pass. The equation was right for Khan, Brook and Smith recently and they all stepped up, but Gennady has too much to lose. And that's fine, there's a business side to this thing as well and we want GGG to be well rewarded for his sacrifice. Ward on the other hand is willing to risk it with GGG and Kovalev as well. Ward is saying here that he offered to fight GGG at 164. If that's true, why did his promoter say "GGG will go to 168 for everybody except Ward" after the offer was turned down?

If the offer was to fight at 164, why was he talking about 168 after it was rejected?

And when Sanchez said that GGG would fight Ward at 164, why did Ward not come and say that he had offered them 164?
