canelo was at 152 in his 2nd title at 154.
Ortiz, Guerrero, Maidana, nor Pacman were the best welterweights either.
Keep it real. Fighters coming off of wins doesn't make them the best.

The punisher and margarita were welterweights when Floyd was there. Winky was at 154, he fought none, nada, zip, zero. Martinez wanted him at 154, GGG offered to come to 154. Keep it bro, keep it real.
    130-Genero was lineal champ

    135-Castillo-lineal champ

140-Gatti was ranked #1 contender by ring

147-Baldo was lineal champ..Manny was ranked #1 contender

154-Canelo was ranked #1 by ring..

like i said he fought the top fighters in every damn division

      can you read?

      at least you're evolving

manny pacquiao was significantly smaller than floyd mayweather. floyd didn't do enough to distance himself, consdiering that gap in size. yes, he won head to head. yes, his longevity at 147 and 154 make his resume better there. but he wasn't a f#cking flyweight, was he? and he didn't have wins over all time greats in their primes, did he?

the argument is quite simple, and it's one you don't understand:

similar tier of accoomplishments and opponents, BUT ONE GUY WAS SIGNIFICANTLY SMALLER THAN THE OTHER, and therefor had a better resume.

      • Damn GGG stans trying to discredit a guy with a great resume like floyd is hilarious......GGG doesn't even have a better win than Jesus Chavez and these morons wanna talk crap. Smh

when you move up in weight, being the smaller guy is expected

mayweather moved up 4 times....do you think he was the bigger man in all his fights?

give it up....this isn't about mayweather he is proven......far more proven than fighters you guys love

just be realistic and admit you don't like the guy and don't use muc logic when it comes to anything involving him.

GGG hasn't taken any risks in comparison...deal with it

            • how in the PHAK does Floyd tells other fighters to take a risk! when in the Phak did Floyd ever take a risk himself? he retired in 2009 when cotto, pakiao, and many other fighters were on there prime! Floyd is so full of CHIT! yeah Floyd berto was a real RISK! GTFOH!

i spent more than you probably make in a couple weeks to see floyd mayweather fight canelo in vegas

you might just be dumb enough to think you dictate what other people like . i'm not a fanboy like you. i'm just honest. use the search function if you really think i'm a golovkin fanboy. that you attribute fanboyism to anybody who disagrees with you is just that, fanboysim.

go look at the floyd - pacquiao racewar threads from the height of the feud ['10-15 or so] and you will not find me posting. you'll find yourself, dunn, larry, gruber, supporting floyd in every f#cking conversation in every f#cking thread. you may think that you don't look biased when you support floyd in every single instance [and i genuinely don't and invite you to look, BTW] but i'm not that dumb.

                  spare me the extra stuff

                  keep it simple

mayweather is a proven all time great that was criticized for whoever he shared the ring with. even though in 49 fights he fought at a high level with Half of the fights being for world titles or vs former world champions

you same posters defending GGG not moving up, claimed a guy who moved up 4 times and fought at a high level to age 38 took no risks

                  makes you guys sound ******ed.

GGG is being Hyped....for what? 3-4 champions beaten in 35+ fights.....Mayweather was a 3 division champion with over 10 defenses of those belts......was in his mid 20s with 35 fights

Floyd won his first title...lineal at that....vs a man that was undefeated at the weight....with only 17 fights and 21 years old....that's a risk bro!!!

Mayweather made a point that you guys hate, its even worse considering how much you dislike him

to your dismay....mayweather is right...GGG needs to take some risks to be considered great

yea fighting in 5 different divisions isnt a risk at all...

                    cotto
                    manny

                    corrales

                    hatton

If people can't give Floyd credit and are saying all these fighters he fought were out their prime then a Froch 38 year old Froch isn't much either.
