  • Problem is people, casual fans, put their personal dislike for Mayweather and use that to try to discredit what he has done inside the ring. Two different things and personalities. I could care less about him personally because I do not know him. He fought Cotto and Oscar at their full 154 pound weight when Manny made them both cut tremendous weight. Who has he ducked? He beat all the champions. GGG needs to move up one division if he cannot get a fight at his own.

... The only time Floyd took an actual “risk” against a “bigger” fighter was back in 2007, when he was 30 years old and he fought Oscar, at 154. Oscar De La Hoya ended up earning $52 million, the highest purse ever for a fighter (the previous record was $35 million, held by Tyson and Holyfield). Floyd earned $25 million for the fight.

... Floyd, dear, tell these people here: just who is going to pay GGG not $25 million but $15 million only to fight at 168 or 175 division?

Just shut up ******... WTF man!?!

      • like fight everybody coming off of a win over andre berto?

or andre berto himself when he was completely shot and had been knocked out by soto karass?

floyd maywetaher's a great fighter, but the guy literally admitted that he was moved to make money. he has no leg to stand on if he's going to say a damn word about anybody's matchmaking. the guy was very carefully moved to maximize profit, and depending on the nature of the converstaion and the audience he'll admit that he's proud of it.

Look who julio Cesar Chavez fought in his last fight.....your point

Look at who Larry Holmes fought in his last fight....do you know who he fought

you know you have to hate a fighter when his opponent is a former world champion with only 3 loses and people act like he is fighting a club fighter......Chavez was over 60 fights in fighting guys on their pro debut and less than 10 fights in

          learn your boxing history bro

          you are embarassing yourself
          .

manny pacquiao was a flyweight. did you watch roman gonzalez over the weekend? that fight shoudl give you some perspective if you aren't familiar with boxing at flyweight. that's why manny has a better resume than floyd. he was a flyweight.

pacquiao was the #1 flyweight in the world, and later the #1 welterweight. never been done, and very likely never going to happen again. you just might not get it and, that's fine. watch roman gonzalez until you understand just what flyweight, and weight climbing, is.

Mayweather was a super featherweight.....did that stop people from wanting to see him fight GGG...a career middleweight

lets be real and put Manny's career into prospective...his living conditions improved and he also turned pro at 16....the human body matures and grows

Jimmy McClarnin turned pro at and below 112 as well, won his world title at welterweight. Along the way he beat world champions from 112-160 and many were at catchweights. He turned pro at a young age just like Manny and filled out at 147

can we please stop acting like Manny was a grown as man like Chocolatito is today then decided to go up in weight and challenge himself

he couldn't make the weights anymore.....when he lost the title at 112....he returned at 122....that shows How much he cut to get that low.....also when he fought at 126-30, he would weigh over 140 on fight night, and high 130s

a flyweight getting KTFO by flyweights

he was a 16 year old, malnutritioned kid, whose body matured so he moved up in weight

Chocolatito is a grown as man that's not the same.

Manny was weighing in the high 130s and low 140s for his fights at 130 on fight night

              he is no little guy

              • Floydhas always tried to get things in his favour, even against fighters he shouldn't have worried toio much about. Glovegate with masidsna, cw with nelo, cotto coming off kos to pac and margarito. Hatton not at best weight and struuggked with collazxo and at 147 in general

You could go on and on about trying toget things in favour. As for riskjs dlh at 154 is juyst about it. F!oyd never fought outside backyard

                  1) did Mayweather have it all in his favor vs DLH....you know ODH chose the ring size, glove size, brand, wouldnt fight at 147 etc...... right

2)Canelo and GBP offered a catchweight to entice Floyd into a fight...the original offer was at 150

                  3) Pac fought Cotto after a questionable win over Clottey and getting stopped by Margocheato....never saw you bring that up in the past or try to take anything away from Manny beating Cotto

                  4) 147 was not Floyd's best weight, he only had 6-7 fights over 135 before he fought Hatton. Hatton turned pro at 140, and Floyd turned pro at 130. Both fought primarily the same amount of time. Hatton fought at a higher division majority of the time, therefor he is the naturally bigger man. VS Castillo Floyd was 138 in the ring.

                  5) Fighting outside of Vegas would mean something if he didn't beat ALL his opponents clearly. He never got any gift decisions

                  go sit down bro

GGG needs to take some risks like Floyd did in his career...proof is in the pudding all you guys have is excuses

he was small enough to fight at flyweight, where he was the best fighter in the world. if you think he was 16 and malnourished it's just because you've literally never seen the fights.

and then he was a champ at 122
                    and then at 126

is he as small as gonzalez?
                    no

is he the same size as floyd maywheather ?
you guys are like little boys if you think that
