Just 3 recent articles I found

They changed their minds. Without uttering those exact words, that’s essentially how Oscar De La Hoya explained Wednesday the decision for Canelo Alvarez to face Liam Smith in his next fight instead of Gennady Golovkin.

According to former two division world champion Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (47-1-1, 33KOs), there is no guarantee that he's moving up to 160-pounds in fall - and in fact there is guarantee of a fight in December.

What’s the biggest difference form fighting at 154 and 160? It seems only a small difference, but what are the changes/adjustments you have to make during training camp?

And now he says the contrary?!

Whoever still believe the ginger crackpot and fishnet is a dumbo. These guys are Mexico's biggest putos, can't believe they represent a great nation like that.

He has pulled back more fights than I can count from nowhere while he was getting battered with that right hook.

Couldn't the same be said about David Lemieux? His name has been circulating as a possible opponent

Could be, but definitely not the only sport. In fact, I'd guess most sports have favoritisms going on all the time. Not that it's a good thing, but don't expect the playing field to be leveled anytime soon.

So 2009-15, 6 years later than it should have happened. The best time business wise for it to have happened would have probably been 2011 right after Pacquiao beat Margarito.

Thats 2-3 years of build up time, and the world was in a frenzied state wanting the fight.

Pacquiao was still Prime, Floyd was still Prime, it would have been an ATG fight. Its one of the great shames in boxing history that it happened so late.
I totally agree that it is a shame that it took so long. I'm a Mayweather fan, but wouldn't mind putting an asterisk next to this win. I wouldn't of cared who would of won, as long as we would of saw it. Has they fought after a couple years, they still would of been in their primes for the rematch. Pac and Roach are still wanting the fight and he's like 37 and Floyd is going on 40. I bought the 1st one, I won't buy the 2nd one of it happened.

There is a difference between someone that can punch, and someone that is dangerous when they are hurt. Lemieux is about as dangerous as Angulo. Super predictable, loads up on every shot.

Andy Lee just uncorks the right randomly, while he is getting his ass beat and its goodnight.

He is safer to outbox, then to go in for the kill if you get him hurt.
