Comments Thread For: Canelo: This Might've Been My Last Fight at Junior Middleweight

Canelo Alvarez hasn't been at or under the junior middleweight limit for years, but he also hasn't been very far from it. In five fights, from March 2014 through May 2016, he was 155 pounds four times and 154.5 pounds on the other occasion.

I guess those fights 155 don't really count as Middleweight bouts, so he'll need the Andre Ward amount of tune ups and we'll get the GGG fight when GGG is 40.

      Great news.

The con continues. Saul and Oscar are beginning to sound like the Trump team as they milk their fan base until the last drop.
It's all about the promise of nothing. Liam Smith was a real blue collar star last night.

Canelo's last fight at 154? Then what did he do it for? He ran from GGG at 160, now he's running from any threat at 154. This guy collects paper titles like a counterfeiter.

Just last week he and oscar stated that he's most comfortable at 154. Truth is, Canelo is a full fledged MW who just doesn't want to fight the top guys in the MW division therefore he hides out at 154-155

                Lol this guy.

He ran to 154 when his GGG mandatory was due, give up the belt and now he goes back to MW because he's not obligated to fight GGG anymore and will leave 154 because he knows he can barely make it.

They literally contradict themselves every interview.

If you're gonna lie, at least make it consistent.

Good move by Canelo! You fought the weakest champion @ 154, and it's time to go! Saunders and Lemieux are better options for Canelo than J-Rock, Andrade and the Charlo Twins!

Yep! He'll fight at least twice @ 160 before GGG!
