But like you said, they aren't fighting each other.. Also they have such a random TV schedule with different days, times and channels.. Those are the 2 biggest mistakes they made
With all the fights that PBC puts on television, it is true that 90 percent are not quality fights. However, among the other 10 percent, PBC has produced more quality fights in the last two years than all the other promoters in boxing combined.

Haymon overpaid these fighters with Waddell and Reed money knowing full well that he's gonna be paid 20% regardless if the whole event made money, broke even, or flopped. Some of the purses did not justify the fighters pay history and opponent. Especially when you add to the fact that Haymon paid to have it on T.V.

I agree,, and they should, Pbc by far has the most depth

Arum- manny, crawford, lomachenko, Ramirez,,,, and only manny is truly a star, crawford can sell out in his hometown, Ramirez still needs a lot of exposure and isn't a headliner yet. Loma needs more exposure

Gbp- Canelo... Canelo is a star, but nowhere near the level of floyd or manny,, and that's about the only guy that can headline for gbp

Haymon- wilder, stevenson, khan, danny, thurman, Porter, ghost, Berto, ortiz, Devon, spence, lara, charo, charo, jacobs, Quillen... Non are PPv stars, but all can headline shows

Indeed but it's totally unsustainable. Year 1 had some quality fights but most were seen only by hardxore fans. Good for us, but it'd be better if it could last more than a year

This is how I first found out about Haymon. He brought the best concerts to my city and at the end of the commercials on the radio they would always say Brought To You By Al Haymon.

You brought it way back with the Budweiser Suierfest...my dad use to promote those concerts when he worked @ WHUR back in the 80's...we use to have this big beautiful holographic Budweiser Superfest Shaka Zulu poster in a frame...it was this picture but holographic with Budweiser Superfest logo imprint

Broke into the boxing business in late 90s- early 2000s as advisor to vernon forest

Mid 2000s hooked up with floyd and was instrumental in bringing floyd to PPv vs gatti, zab, baldomir and in buying out Floyd's contract with top rank and securing the de la hoya fight

Pushed floyd to the very top, made him the highest paid athlete the world has ever seen

He used the success of floyd to basically sign a bunch of big name fighters

Used gbp and Richard shchafer as de facto promoters.. Oscar got pissed and fired Richard. Haymon took his fighters away.

Started PBC with private equity group in hopes of landing a major TV deal similar to wwe and ufc

Some of those purses were ridiculous for the level of fighters.

This is incredible, simply incredible. My best friends father went to a white caller prison for a similar investment situation. Except he received the money from peoples retirement and invested it all over the world. They could only get him on tax evasion because the company he worked for provided the funds and took most of the penalty.

What board do I approach to receive such funds???

They're definitely moving into a really shady area. Living in New Mexico, I'm always on the lookout for any fight cards being put on here. I saw that there was a fight card being put on at Buffalo Thunder Casino on a Tuesday and started trying to track down tickets. PBC has had the fight card listed on their schedule for over a month. The link to buy tickets doesn't get you anywhere. So Buffalo Thunder finally put up an ad on their event page with phone numbers to call for tickets. I called the other day, and the guy that answered told me that I either had to buy four seats in the second row or five seats in the fourth row. He claimed that was the only tickets left.

Without ever placing the tickets for this event on sale, somehow they claim to have sold out the entire event aside from nine tickets. The only way that makes any sense is because of the boiler room salesman that refuses to sell a consumer two tickets, and tries to hustle them into buying four or five. Needless to say, I'm passing on that event because I didn't trust the shady fool one bit. And somehow, this card is supposed to be a FS1 broadcast.

If anyone feels like picking this shady promoters brain, call the first number listed on the ad in the link.

Yep I remember those posters. But these fools think that a man with over 20 years as a successful promoter will suddenly turn into a crook because he got investment money to form a boxing network. Twenty years in one of the most crooked industries, the music industry, yet nobody is saying a bad word about him. It proves even when we are successful we're still looked at as crooks.
