Canelo, i dislike the guy since the first time i saw him against Josesito Lopez, he was proud of beating a guy much smaller than him, he was protected until Mayweather took him to school, then he proceeds to get some close wins against every decent opponent, but he is supposedly the face of boxing, the face of boxing beats elite fighters on fashion, doesn't wins close fights over and over, i can respect his skills, but is overrated, his power is overrated, never knocked out or even knocked down a real good fighter, gasses himself after 6 rounds, got cement on his feet, tries to look cool with his awful shoulder roll and the Golovkin thing was bs, i mean, he says he needs to grown to middleweight, he wasn't crying when fought the undersized Lopez, Khan and even Cotto.
I think is more fault of Dela Hoya, but i mean, c'mon, the face of boxing?, if Canelo was treated like someone like Porter by the media and his promoters (a cool guy and a really good boxer), but he and his team acts like if he is the second coming of Sugar Ray Robinson.

The Brits believe his reputation is enhanced on the back of being competitive for the latter ninety seconds of the second round. It's pathetic then again they fill soccer stadia for Tony Bellew, so I never should have doubted them.

Let me say it was convenient he didn't take a career damaging beating, if I payed for that fight I would be infuriated the way it played out. He clearly wanted out of the ring and i wouldn't be shocked if it was staged.

There's fair criticism to be made regarding the Golovkin/ Brook fight. There's fair criticism to be made regarding Brook's post fight hype.

But criticising the British fans for coming out and supporting the sport even for the likes of Bellew? Seriously?

Boxing isn't dead yet but it's attitude's like that are killing it. Don't hate the British because they still support it.
