Derevyanchenko is the only fighter at 160 right now who can keep GGG honest

        - A Ukrainian ****** that thinks he's dissing Canelo (who hasn't fought those two opponents), but really he's dissing Little G, who he goes on to praise, .

        What a f**kin' ******.
He's dissing Canelo for even considering one of those two as his next MW opponent you mong.

          Might as well be.

The mid-tiers (i.e. Murata, Derevy, Blanco, Khytrov) are gonna have to start separating themselves at some point. MW is bad because the top guys are fooling around, but the situation is even worse because the entire top 20 is silent. MW is boring.

This is boxing. Most top 20 boxers only box 2 times a year. The top guys only want to box twice a year against each other to make big money. The lower top 20 - say 7 thru 20 - not interested in fighting each other because they don't wanna get knocked out of the pecking order. They only fight each other when trying to get the mandatory position.

There's intriguing fights at MW such as Stevens-Lemieux or Derevy vs Lemieux. Not sure why they can't be made except for fact that boxing is just a niche sport now and there's not enough money for those kind of fights at the higher weights. Lower weights get paid crap so they all beat the crap out of each other anyway. And cruiserweights don't make what they should so they are more willing to make tough fights to at least earn something.

Derevy vs. Stevens is also interesting. I just want decent match-ups consistently with a great match-up every once in a while.

Was just talking about him in another thread, Derevyanchenko going to be a threat I say probably by next year. He is really just 1 big fight away from putting himself in the Mix at Middleweight. His probably is that I don't think anybody in the Top 10 in that Division will fight him so he will have to become a Mandatory and work his way up

Him vs Avtandil Khurtsidze would be a GREAT FIGHT and a huge step up for him maybe make that a WBC Eliminator or something but yeah Derevyanchenko is on the rise in that Division
