Comments Thread For: Derevyanchenko Slams Canelo, Targets Golovkin Showdown

New York, NY - Since turning pro in July 2014, former Ukrainian amateur standout Sergiy Derevyanchenko (9-0, 7KO's) (32-1 including the World Series of Boxing) has let his fists do the talking for him in the ring, as he has climbed the rankings of the middleweight division at a blistering pace. Already rated #2 in the IBF world ratings, Derevyanchenko has looked absolutely sensational with each passing performance and is honing in on the opportunity to fight for his first world title. Upon hearing recent reports that the winner of the Gabriel Rosado-Willie Monroe Jr. bout this Saturday on the undercard of Canelo Alvarez's world title match against Liam Smith, the usually quiet and well-mannered Derevyanchenko couldn't help but voice his disgust with Canelo.

Wow, first time I've ever heard Derevyanchenko speak out on anything. But at 9-0, he needs to get his ass back in the ring vs anyone.

"With all due respect to Rosado and Monroe, I would beat them both on the same night. They could have a tag team match against me alternating rounds and it wouldn't matter. If these are the fighters you want to face, you should be ashamed to call yourself middleweight champion!"

        - A Ukrainian ****** that thinks he's dissing Canelo (who hasn't fought those two opponents), but really he's dissing Little G, who he goes on to praise, .

        What a f**kin' ******.

That's not even him talking. He barely has any English, that's his reps.

Your logic makes no sense homie. Golovkin started Rosado's losing streak. For Canelo to fight him now is shameless when he could just face Golovkin. Canelo trying to eat off Golovkin past victims is shameless and pathetic.

Why would you fight the losers when you had a shot at the winner?

Him vs Canelo or GGG would be a great fight.

It's actually nice for another MW to voice his opinion for a change. The MW division is not only GGG, BJS and Jacobs.

Its really funny watching these no-name broke ass boxers talk **** about the man making all the money, and doing PPVs. Oscar DLH loves it to cause he has seen this work to Floyd favor and is kinda turning Canelo into the new Floyd, where everyone has something to say about him. Keep that buzz going, keep putting money in his pocket. As long as he making money and doing decent numbers he will have no urgency to put on a good fight we want to see.
