Canelo: Smith, Monroe, Lemiuex then GGG. That's one top MW and GGG. He should take on maybe one of the other top ten MW instead of Monroe.
is a good way to hype this fight next year, i know many dont like this, but i wouldnt mind ggg-hopkins prior to the canelo fight also , that is a fight that to me could end up hyping the canelo fight to the limit among the casuals, but that will be a business fight like ggg says...

Well if his side wins they have to pay Golovkin 75%.

I have no doubt if it goes to a purse bid K2 wont even try to win it. They'll throw something out there because they have to. But they're hoping for two things, either for Haymon to put up a massive bid or for Jacobs to vacate.

They'll get one of those two things. If I had to guess, it'll be Jacobs vacating. Which is a win-win for them.

Or... they can try to negotiate a deal. They'll entertain some offers, but they'll just keep declining them and force that bid which would make things very difficult for Jacobs.

wait a second. .... Warren mentions the Golovkin fight almost as an afterthought. The main thrust of what he is saying is that he will be talking to GBP while he is in Texas - and for what? To get BJS fighting on a GBP card against an agreed opponent to build up for a Canelo fight - far more money and less risk for BJS if he fights Canelo and not Golovkin.

How is Jacobs vacating a win win? It's not like Golovkin gets rich accumulating belts especially as he probably could give a damn about Jacobs regular belt.

If Jacobs vacates then they're not under WBA pressure anymore and go look to fight Saunders instead...

What I think will happen is the fight goes to a purse bid, Jacobs vacates, Golovkin fights Saunders in February, then fights Tureano Johnson in May/June then fights Canelo in September if he hasn't lost yet.

I mean unless Haymon puts up a massive bid, or if Jacobs accepts significantly less money than he was hoping for, I can't see Golovkin vs. Jacobs happening.

Nothing ever is. Not even Canelo beating smith. But he's the favorite.

GGG v Jacobs will be a touch of Lemieux and moments of Brook. Jacobs will land, GGG will defend with straight jabs, and after five rounds of body shots he'll realize Jacobs power is sapped and will finish it within the next 5 rounds.

I don't like the B-hop fight for two reasons. B-hop will make anyone look bad, even at 50, but I think he gets battered pretty badly.

What does GGG gain from beating a 50 year old b-hop. I'm not sure it's a ppv fight.

Jacobs can't vacate, or his chance at Stardom is over

My guess is Jacobs has realized win or lose, he has to fight GGG.

If k2 offers him 2-3m, this will get signed soon after.

like i said that is nothing but a business fight, i think that could be a ppv and he will get exposure to the casuals imo, i think the fight could end up being interesting, but i know many here dont like it... but casuals could be saying, look ggg beated the big guy that folded de la hoya...

Maybe. Looks like we won't be seeing Jacobs this year, his camp has already come out with saying they basically want everything their way, they want a ppv fight, it's not. They want it in Brooklyn, not just New York, k2 will want it at MSG. Giving Danny too much of a home field advantage makes no sense.

I'm not sure who GGG will be fighting in November, since the guys talking tough after Sat both have all but made it known they won't be fighting him this year.

the fight has to happen, even if it goes to purse bid which is most likely the case... the date might end up being pushed a little , but that should be the next fight for both..
