Why would Russians be salty about the Olympics when robberies went their way several times in several different events! 2 off the top Tischenko and Nikitin among others.

WADA and VADA I do not trust. Everyone has a price.

Just saw it reported briefly on CNN just a minute ago with pictures of the 3 women mentioned in this thread.

Even the athletes involved in this smear campaign don't seem worried.

Biles responded on Twitter, saying that she has attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and has "taken medicine for it since I was a kid."

"Please know, I believe in clean sport, have always followed the rules, and will continue to do so as fair play is critical to sport and is very important to me," she said.

Venus Williams, who won a silver medal in mixed doubles at the Rio Olympics last month, issued a statement via her agent in which she said she was granted TUEs "when serious medical conditions have occurred," and those exemptions were "reviewed by an anonymous, independent group of doctors, and approved for legitimate medical reasons."

"I'd like to thank the hackers for making the world aware that I legally take a prescription for a condition I've been diagnosed with, which WADA granted me an exception for," Delle Donne said in a Twitter post Tuesday. "Thanks guys!"

        Salty group of Russians, indeed.

          They weren't taking anabolic steroids.
I never mentioned Biles and yeah, I came across her story.

With the Williams sisters specifically, they tested positive for a number of steroids, including Prednisolone, over a long period of time. I think it was 4 or 5 years, I can't remember correctly. A synthetic steroid such as prednisolone is prescribed for certain inflammatory conditions, especially those related to the liver.

If the sisters had such an extended period of inflammation, especially pertaining to damaged organs, how did they carry on playing tennis, multiple times a month, at the highest level? That doesn't make sense. A medical condition of that type, for that long, would be quite debilitating.

So the validity of these TUEs is called into question and in a society where we have seen mass cheating in sports, from the Balco labs to Lance Armstrong, this is something that should be investigated. Not ridiculed with ****** claims of racism, or USSR v USA rubbish. However, I guarantee this gets brushed under the rug.

Neither is Meldonium but they banned it which caused lots of Russian athletes to get banned for taking it due to the fact no one knew how long it takes to leave your system. What the Russians are doing here is saying you've leveraged the rules to ban their athletes due to politics while highlighting the granting you're own athletes drugs which were illegal by giving them tue's, as even if they have a medical reason to take them they will still be performance enhancing.

This happened like 6 years ago.

Serena was last given a TUE for Prednisolone for a whopping 6 days in June of 2015.

As for Venus, she has spoken for herself:
“I have followed the rules established under the Tennis Anti-Doping Program in applying for, and being granted, “the****utic use exemptions”. The application for TUEs under the Tennis Anti-Doping program require a strict process for approval which I have adhered to when serious medical conditions have occurred. The exemptions posted in the hacked report are reviewed by an anonymous, independent group of doctors, and approved for legitimate medical reasons. I am one of the strongest supporters of maintaining the highest level of integrity in competitive sport and I have been highly disciplined in following the guidelines set by WADA, USADA, the ITF and collectively the Tennis Anti-Doping Program.” She said in a statement

Yea, this had nothing to do with this Russian group being salty. Nothing at all. Instead of condemning an attack that reveals athletes private medical records, you join in with the baseless attack. Good job!

This. It is catering. And the bigger picture is almost spelled out here.

This is not the way it works at all. The drugs are used to bring the athletes back to their normal condition. It's the ADO's job to make sure the drugs will not give an unfair advantage. To argue that the drugs would still be performance enhancing would have to take into account many factors like when it was taken, how much was taken, for how long it was taken, and the specific needs of the athlete.

Prednisolone is also prescribed for breathing difficulties because it improves lung capacity. Lung capacity is vital in any sport especially tennis (and boxing). Remember when boxers were considered old at 30?
The Williams's sisters use of prednisolone could be totally legit, but it does make me wonder.
