Just rewatched the Brook- Lil Gina fight. You can't be defending punches with your face like that. Remember back then when people were talking about how Pac had an iron chin and would walk through dudes? Same with Mayorga? Margarito? Well what happened? They took too much damage and got their chins dented, once they got floored and knocked out they were never the same.

Each clean hook that lands on Lil G is chipping away at his punch resistance.

Dude's gonna be getting hurt a lot more when he can't take those punches like he used to. Also remember that chins tend to decline with age.
