Does the fact that gggs opponents do better than expected prove he's overrated.

Stevens, Rosado, Murray - could not even 1 round on the scorecard.. Murray is known for his solid chin & Groves(who KO'ed DeGale & KD Froch) couldn't crack him & went all 12 with him recently..
Brook - won 1 round & looked good in spots in others, shouldn't be a surprise as this was expected of him.. Slickness & movement would have taken him a few rounds.. Khan won more rounds against Canelo than Brook did against Golovkin (well at least we knew he did & not on the biased judge's card) before he was caught for good..

After most Floyd, Kovalev,Manny,Ward, Rigo, Wlad fights we talk about how they dominated and outclassed a top guy in their division but gggs opponents seem to have alot of success.

demented demographic where the opposition is beaten into submission is somehow less dominant than a points win.

Its like saying does maidana losing controversial decision to Floyd means Floyd is overated?

            Probably, yes.

Stevens didn't win a single round, got dropped by the now infamous hook that spawned a million gifs, and failed to check Golovkin even though he's a power puncher.

Rosado didn't win a single round either, was bleeding from spots in his face, and had his trainer yell at his dad that "your son is gonna get killed man!!"

Murray had close decision losses against Martinez and Abraham with a beatdown by Golovkin between them, during which he went down 3 times and was TKOd.

Brook is the only one who you can say did 'better' than expected, but most people had his winning early rounds and getting KOd in the 6-8th, while he got TKOd in the 5th and broke his eye socket.

There's virtually nothing to support your claims.

            Ray

He got hit alot in all those fights. I'll admit we didn't know GGG was that bad at defense so when we saw him taking clean combos to the face it might of been an overreaction.

Whether anyone thinks they did better or not they all were totally demolished. Barely won a round between the 4. From the off the winner was obvious. It was only a matter of time before they were bowled out. We've been spoiled by this guy - he delivers what everyone wants to see in boxing, monstrous knockouts and beat downs. Love it.

What you're saying is completely unsubstantiated by facts. The whole "Golovkin gets hit a lot and has no defense" is something that is perpetuated by people who look to discredit him.

Stevens connected on 32% of his punches, with 2 good rounds and most others in the 20s.
Wade connected on less than 30%
                Murray connected on 28%
Adama connected on 12% of his punches (!!)
Rosado connected on 22% (!!!!) of his punches.
Lemieux connected on less than 30%.
Even Brook, who did more than anyone else against Golovkin, only connected on 32% of his punches.

You seem like a nice guy. Forget about labeling yourself as a fan or a hater, and look at actual FACTS and educate yourself.

Gggs defense is pretty bad I don't buy into the taking shots for fun or whatever he says. Pretty much everyone I've seen him fight has hit him clean. I don't think he's Brandon Rios but clearly his defense isn't that great. He rarely slips, doesn't use head movement or footwork, he keeps his hands in front of his face and often punches get through.

The only fighter there who really did better than expected was Brook, and that's because no one had any expectations for him going into this fight. Everyone else got annihilated and were never competitive.

He only said that once for the brook fight he was getting outclassed but what matters is the end result and he lost
