Jacob's sphincter immediately began flexing like a backboard.

Golovkin/Murray live afternoon feed did 862k on HBO, I'm guessing the Brook fight did higher. Pretty bad an HBO afternoon fight out does a prime time Friday night free tv fight.

According to one poster, Danny Jacobs is a break-out ppv star?
The PBC number was for the entire 2-hr time slot; I have no doubt in my min that the live afternoon feed rating was solely for the fight, a time block that (a time block that was maybe 50 minutes).

Still, interesting that the numbers for the Jacobs-Mora II fight card have already been released, yet there's still nothing available for Golovkin-Brook.

Because that was on Friday and Weekend numbers always come out on Tuesday unless it's NBC and those numbers come out on Sunday....no need for a tin foil hat

Why haters are so incensed by ggg when there are plenty of obviously hyped and protected fighters I don't know.

Brook was negotiating with Vargas. Quit finding excuses for ggg and his team. The degale fight was there if they truly wanted it.

Your actually wrong. Brook wasnt even in the plan. Abcd was canelo Saunders Jacobs eubanks and then those plans didn't work out brook just filled in.

No more excuses. Jacobs can't price himself out. If HBO won't put up the money to make the fight and K2 doesn't want it to go to purse bid they can put up the money themselves and put on a PPV. Ya know, like Arum came out of his pocket to make the Crawford-Postol fight happen. This doesn't even have to go to purse bid and this fight can be made on HBO PPV.
Fight still might not happen. One of them can always drop the belt. Seen it recently.

The only way I can see them getting the money for this fight would be from Haymon. We all know HBO isn't paying anything. Which leads me to believe that it won't happen as I don't think GGG can fight off HBO, i maybe wrong though. If they went the PPV route i'm sure it could sell better or at least as much as Lemuiex, but HBO would need to promote it with a 24/7 or something, which I don't see them doing

Neither one is dropping the belt. Neither one has the fanbase of Canelo. Neither one can afford to drop the belt. If Jacobs drops the belt his career is over. He doesn't have the media support nor fanbase of Canelo or GGG. If GGG drops the belt his credibility takes a huge hit and the "all the belts" marketing will be revealed as a lie. Neither fighter is dropping the belt. I don't even know why people keep mentioning this. Canelo dropped the belt is about to fight in front of 30,000 people and on PPV. Neither one of these two can do that.

K2 is not about taking chances at all whatsoever.
