Cuadras left it too late. He fought a heroic defensive effort for most of the fight and finished so strong but Gonzalez was mostly just marching through all that he had and it was a thing to behold. Roman got visibly tired in the championship rounds and that was when Cuadras really layed it on him.

He did very well and it was close, but Gonzalez won.
It's going to be hard for anyone to get a decision against him; he throws and lands so many goddamn punches and is awkward to hit cleanly. Cuadras was doing good work, landing the better punches, but Gonzalez was just just an animal in there. Cuadras kicked his ass down the stretch, but lost too many rounds early.

It was a close fight. Chocolatito put on amazing pressure, but Quadras landed the more effective punches. Larry Merchant cried about the running all night, He's running too much doe, but Quadras had to make room to punch. As many punches as Chocolatito landed, Quadras hit him with something harder. Running, Larry, is when a guy avoids a fight. Chocolatito's face says Quadras was doing more than running.

First few rounds was deciding factor, me personally I don't think chocolatito did enough to win but have no problem with outcome hopefully he gets a rematch and we don't have to wait on it for 4+ years like Estrada fight

This Cuadras guy is a serious talent. I thought he won the fight. HBO told Letterman backstage you need to slant the fight, or maybe he had too many drinks before it started. I would have guessed he smoked some serious ganja but he don't seem like the type
