And how do you think Brook/Lara would go?
Brook not worthy! Canelo has caught enough **** for fighting Khan @ 155. I can't even imagine if he fought Brook coming off of a broken face TKO by GGG! That would be insane! I think Lara vs. Brook would be a good fight, but I think Lara would beat him by UD. Even that fight would be disrespectful because Lara has 2 belts @ 154, and Brook hasn't fought @ 154. Andrade and Cotto would be perfect tests for Brook @ 154. Neither have belts, and both would be very respectable wins if Brook could defeat one of them! Brook's team might want to start his 154 campaign with someone like Austin Trout or Vanes Martirosyan as his return bout in the UK!

So, are you saying maybe a couple or maybe three JMW fights before Brook should be allowed a title shot? That might work. Would be fun to see him develop in the division, and you never know... he may actually want it that way.

BTW, I wouldn't be surprised if they give him a title shot for his first fight at the weight. Not that it's either a right or wrong decision, but because that's the way things happen now in boxing.

If the money is right, I could see Lara going to the UK. I don't think it would be right, but I could see it happening! I definitely could see Cotto vs. Brook in NYC! That would sell!

Yep. Either one of those 2 fights would be great. And would sell out easily.

I just saw that HBO wants Brook. If that happens, then that narrows down the opponents to Cotto, Bradley, possibly Andrade, and Canelo!

jfc....once he gets stopped at sww, he will THEN say ''nah, i was just testing the waters. daring to be great. im still young and there are tougher fights at ww....WHERE I BELONG.''

just because a guy can gain weight doesnt mean he should fight at that weight. rjj got the fnck out of dodge once he beat ruiz. he knew he didnt belong. it was an easy win that came with a crown.

i cant see brook beating any top sww/mw. so unless his goal is to beat up bigger journeymen.....

No arguments here... any of those would be great.

Of course he was! Brook isn't a bad fighter... He still had good speed even with the added weight... and he has some power. But certain people just don't get it.... Golovkin wanted to give a show and wasn't all that worried... he gave Brook no respect. He could have boxed him like he did Lemieux.... just jabbing from a distance. And slowly breaking him down. But he chose not to. ... People are like: "he's not good defensively.... he gets hit.... when he faces a real middlewight...". Yeah but... for one, he still destroyed the other guy! And two... He will ajust if he faces someone that's a real threat. He's reckless when confident, but he's not ******!

Any fighter can get stopped by another fighter, but I doubt Brook gets stopped any more than the average elite JMW. IMO, he beats Martirosyan, Andrade, Charlo, Cotto, Liam Smith... pretty much all of them except maybe Lara or Canelo. And he'd be right in there with those guys. Seem to remember he's admitted having trouble making WW weight, so it may be healthier to go to JMW. Many fighters drop back down after trying the next division up, so not surprising if he does the same, and certainly doesn't mean that translates into him being a bum. Guy has talent, no argument there. Time will tell how JMW works out.

imho, he went after 3g for the cash and to one up khan. did he and his team feel they could win ? no doubt. im just not buying into this whole ''i have to stop killing myself being a ww'' nonsense. ive always read ''eventually he will have to move up'' and ''in a few fights he will have to move up''. it was an opportunity for him to see what he could do up there. props for it being vs the top dog.

but youre right. a guy can get stopped even at their best weight. and im not mocking his attempt. brook is no bum and he lust might be able to beat cotto at this stage of cottos career. huge ''might''. if im brooks advisor, id tell him to keep ''killing'' himself at ww because its his best fighting weight and theres many cash fights available.
