find it bizzaree how brook getting stopped in 5 rounds suddenly becomes concrete proof that he beats khan who got knocked out in 6 rounds. I thought khan was doing a lot lot better against canelo than brook did against GGG. Seems as if khan got no credit for it, but brooks got plenty of credit.
He vacated his title and then fought Roy Jones because everyone wanted to see that amazing match up.
So time specific,
Joe Calzaghe:
46 - 2008-11-08 Roy Jones Jr 52 4 0 Madison Square Garden, New York, New York, USA W
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
45 - 2008-04-19 Bernard Hopkins 48 4 1 Thomas & Mack Center, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
Carl Froch:
25 - 2009-04-25 Jermain Taylor 28 2 1 Foxwoods Resort, Mashantucket, Connecticut, USA W
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
WBC World super middleweight title
24 - 2008-12-06 Jean Pascal 21 0 0 Nottingham Arena, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom W vacant WBC World super middleweight title (supervisor: Houcine Houichi)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
23 - 2008-05-10 Albert Rybacki 15 0 0 Nottingham Arena, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom W
I don't think you're right on this one you know Carl Froch said It would have meant everything to fight on the grand stage of MGM Grand I wonder If he would have turned down that likelihood of a fight there with a legend of the game to instead fight James DeGale in rainy ole England but that's just my opinion, Carl wasn't worth the merit to come back down to 168.

Time specific;
Carl Froch became WBC mandatory in April 2008
Joe Calzaghe fought Roy Jones in Novmeber 2008
Not bothered really. Just pointing out he fought all of his other ****ty mandatories but not when it came to Froch.

Khan did get credit for it.
No one was surprised though, many of us said that Khan would have success against Canelo if Canelo didn't stop him.
Less of us knew Brook would also do well, but I was also posting that Brook was going to give GGG problems until he got stopped for months before that fight.
Irregardless, "credit" for how you perform in a fight you lose, sometimes you can look into that, depending on the context, but what really matters is that it was still a loss. You can't get a W for being up on the cards in a loss, etc. People need to stop reaching for moral victories. I hate reading "so and so was winning before the stoppage" like that means something. It means nothing more than it was a good fight.
