You don't act friendly to their face then go and talk about them behind their back. I'm a little older and those are old school values. I try to raise my sons the same way.

I'm not denying it. Before the press conference started he told a couple press members Ward didn't speak to him. Then they do the faceoff and he's being extra friendly and puts his hand out. Then after the press conference he tells the media again that he was mad Ward didn't speak to him. He made his feelings public. It was a private matter that bothered him. He should've discussed it privately with Ward instead of running to the media. But like I said. I'm from the old school and if we had an issue with a person you went to them. And most times the issue was a simple misunderstanding. This issue was a simple misunderstanding because Ward said he gave Kovalev a headnod.

I can understand where you're coming from, but Kovalev simply just understands and is aware of the task in front of him. He isn't a mentally defeated fighter. Every fighter has some self-doubts, especially Ward when he considers the size disadvantage.
