He's just naturally timid. Could be a combo of just his personality, discomfort with the English language, and just the awkwardness of being in the ring without having fought anyone. What about the way he was acting in the second video when he was supposed to be mad because Ward didn't speak to him. He made sure he shook Ward's hand. Then after the press conference he said **** Ward. If he felt like they he should've walked away without acknowledging Ward like Ward did to him before the press conference. No problem with respecting your oppenent but he's kissing Ward ass at this point

Ward is a great boxer, but he's not a killer. It just makes no sense for Kovalev to be nervous or scared of Ward. Ward will win a decision against Kovalev, and Kovalev knows that this is the only way Ward can win. However, Ward knows Kovalev can KO him or decision him. If Kovalev is nervous of Ward then that's really weird, Kovalev is literally a professional killer, he killed a boxer. Ward is no killer, great boxer though, who I predict will win a tough battle vs Kovalev
