LOL @ this thread. floyd used the no 2 p4p fighter who was lineal and unified in his division as a "tuneup" after 19 month layoff in a NON-TITLE fight. GGG is using an unproven WW who has fought 1 top 10 ranked guy in his division moving up 2 division bc they didnt want the venue to go to waste. this is more like salka vs garcia IMO

Marquez was old, past prime, had 5 losses and went life/death with old casamayor and diaz. He was flabby and fat moving up. Brook is prime and undefeated and he is moving down.

They're both big names and mismatches. Don't have a big problem with either.

It speaks to Floyd's greatness that he had a tuneup fight against the number 2 p4p fighter in the world and he still doesn't get much credit for that bout. Plus Marquez at that point was better than Kell. This fight sucks, deal with it.

Marquez was a tune up after a 2 year lay off for Floyd.

Brook is the toughest fight ever for GGG

                Figure it out

Ohhh BoxRec has him top 5 guys. That means this is a good fight, thanks for clearing that up for us.

I don't know anyone that loved floyd-marquez,,, everyone knows it was a tuneup for floyd, even though it was vs the reigning lightweight champ.. Brook is just a stay busy fight for ggg, even though he is a reigning welter champ

I mean, how much credit does Floyd really deserve for that? How much credit would you give if Kovalev beat GGG @ 175?

Garcia vs Salka was way worse. I mean this fight is still trash but at least Brook is a rated and respected WW (possibly even the best) versus Salka being a middle of the pack guy in his division.
