GTFO you f1omo, Marquez was 36 had 4 losses and looked like crap. Dude had to drink his own piss to fill up up to Welter. Brook is 36-0 undefeated and prime.

Marquez beat Juan Diaz, Katsidis AND Manny Pacquiao (3rd fight, which was at 147) AFTER he lost to Floyd and BEFORE he started training with Memo Heredia.

Walking around weight means absolutely nothing in boxing, Brook had good stamina at 147 so making 147 didn't really drain him on fight night, all that extra muscle that needs more oxygen will only wear Brook down earlier since he never had the time for his bidy to get used to carrying the extra weight.

They had Brook as top 5 P4P in the world but now they have him as top 10.
Dude, they have Canelo as no.1 p4p on that list. And Thurman as no.6 And they have Shawn Porter ahead of Roman Gonzalez & Andre Ward. Let that soak in for a second before citing that list as if it were a credible source.

Hey no list is perfect. A perfect list would have Brook as top 3 P4P. But I'd still take Boxrec over some fools on NSB.

The intriguing factors about Mayweather Marquez were different :

1- Mayweather coming off a 2 year layoff and a rib injury in training camp

2- Marquez being number 2 P4P whovalready had a HOF redume and was coming off victories against Diaz, Casamayor he and Pacquiao a year earlier, plus he called Floyd out. What did Brook do in his 12 year career at 147?

3- Marquez had just beaten Pacquiao a year earlier and people wanted to see how Mayweather would do against a guy that beat Pacquiao since the demand for Mayweather Pacquiao was increasing at the time.

4- Floyd being a former super featherweight- lightweight not too long before the fight, Floyd fought at lightweight till 2003 and at 140 till 2006. Floyd isn't a KO puncher nor a fighter that utilizes his weight either and he didn't use his weight advantage during the fight at all since there was no inside fighting.

Floyd dragged Marquez up two divisons after he beat an old Casamayor, went life and death with bum Diaz and lost to Pacquiao and Chris John. You really wanna defend that ****?

Floyd was a great fighter but that Marquez fight was trash especially since Floyd cheated him on the scales.

At least Brook isn't a blown-up lightweight with 5 losses. Marquez was a bum.

Comparing Brook/GGG to Floyd/Jmm is almost as bad as when you all try to compare it yo Hagler/SRL

                  This is more Norris/Taylor realm

Idc how legendary jmm is. This is a very forgettable fight for Floyd. Though it shouldn't. The ease of defeating jmm is something that not even jmm complains about. And we all know he thinks he never lost a fight, except to Floyd.

Back to the topic at hand. This is a fight that I've seen more people cry over than give the man his credit. TS, can you give examples of people loving this fight? I know I enjoyed it. My two favorite fighters and top 5 favorites that I've seen actually met

Marquez has gotta be the most overrated fighter of the last decade.

Dude was a Pacquiao specialist. Nothing more
