Agreed. Its the "path of least resistance" that boxing has become. Its unfortunate that "legacy" doesnt pay the bills lol

The only other PPV fight for him out there is the Ward/Kovalev winner and he's not gonna take this fight. Canelo has another 10 years of earning money and will surpass what he'd make with GGG in 3 or 4 fights. Time is on Canelo's side. GGG has no bargaining strength in this situation and you know it. You're arguing from emotion but when you set the facts on the table you know Canelo has options and GGG doesn't
GGG is reputedly worth $25 million, has contracts with Apple & Jordan, is getting $5 million to fight Brook with the promise of more to come against the likes of DeGale

Canelo is just a notch on his belt and wont change his life unless he suddenly develops a taste for the biggest private jets

it's okay, low ball GGG and he will embarrass GBP and Canelo just like Floyd did, in the ring. Oscar never learned from Floyd, low balled him and look at where Floyd is right now..top of the world!

Me personally, I would reserve judgment until the offer was made. The ppv sales will mainly be Alvarez fans and Golovkin fans who want to see him fight Alvarez so he should get the lion share of the upside if not all if the flat fee is legit. Not sure why so many are in love with the no one will fight Trip argument. It's like no matter what gets said, the same chumps come out with the same stump speech.

Canelo filling up a football stadium will have almost 3x the attendance of any ggg fight. There is a reason he don't fight in Vegas or these huge baseball and football stadiums in the US like canelo.

As for lowball that's what GGG potential opponents have cried about for years that that those broke phuks that promote ggg can't afford to pay more to get better fights. And he tells guys take the peanuts ggg offers or no fight. Now the role has changed and if ggg wants to fight canelo you take the money they offer because he is the bigger star. You ain't dictating offers.
Canelo couldn't sell out T-Mobile arena. That's why he's going to Texas. He's hoping the Mexican have his back and buy tickets to his fight. I don't think that fight with Liam Smith will sell out.

Oh it will "sellout." Remember they price seats at like $5 and let's not forget those nice little comps.

What De La Hoya is saying is that he is going to go out of his way to avoid making an Alvarez/Golovkin fight and he will continue to try to twist the PR effort to try to make it sound like it is not his fault.

cheapest ones are $50(10x more than $5), and those are only the nose bleeds...

Oscar is really doing everything he can to derail this fight. After all the crap he talked about Arum and now he's taking one out of his playbook.
