This is a weird and perverse reason for not sanctioning the fight.

GGG can't fight Jacobs next because Jacobs has signed for another fight.

This is professional boxing - every voluntary defence by a world champion is a business fight, if you want to look at it that way.

Something dodgy is going on behind the scenes. We'll have to wait to find out what it is.

They didn't order Jacobs because the WBA was under the impression GGG was fighting Eubank Jr. You have to remember, Loeffler never told the WBA that he was negotiating with Brook. It wouldn't have been fair for the WBA to stop the Eubank Jr fight to order Jacobs vs GGG

Slightly hypocritical when the WBA's the one going around making a half-dozen belts per division for business reasons.

Loeffler wasn't negotiating with Brook. Eddie Hearn was. All Loeffler did was accept Brook on the same terms he already agreed on for Eubank.

And if the WBA see GGG/Brook is a business fight, why wouldn't they see GGG/Eubank in the same way?

Eubank isn't GGG's mando any more than Brook is.

Golovkin doesn't respect box, this is business fight.

              I don't understand you, lad... I simply don't...

It was an article on this very website, on Apr 24, 2016, which reads:
"WBA: If No Golovkin-Canelo, We Will Order GGG-Danny Jacobs"
Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin successfully satisfied his mandatory obligation of the middleweight title on Saturday night, this time against his IBF mandatory challenger, Dominic Wade, who was stopped in two rounds. Golovkin also happens to be the WBA 'super' champion at that weight class. The 'regular' version of that belt is held by Danny Jacobs.

              WTF, lad???

Sadly these links are german, but it reveals alot about the WBA.

These are Ahmet Öner interviews about the WBA. Öner, who had connections worldwide back then, a boxing promoter known for his shady business was the middleman who helped Sturm buying his "Super WBA Belt" from the WBA back in 2009.

GGG was mandatory for Sturm for some time and pressured to get the title fight and as a Super Champion you have special privileges so you dont have to defend it against you #1 mandatory.

Sturm paid €250.000 for the belt/title and had to pay additional fees for every defense. The money was sent to a lawyer in Panama with the name of "Antonio Gonzales". Gonzales is a close friend to Gilberto Mendoza, president of the WBA.

Sturm now was Super WBA champion and didnt have to fight GGG any more but he had to pay alot of money for it.

Öner had listed supported documents even with the signature of Gilberto Mendoza and documents about the money transfers to Panama.

Mendoza already took money and screwed GGG out of a title back then and now is onto some other corrupt shit, i can only guess that Haymon is involved and pays the WBA to shut up about the Jacobs mandatory.

Strangets thing is now the WBA's reasoning to reject GGG Brook fight is that Danny Jacobs would have been willing to fight GGG? WTF?

Because Eubank jr is a middleweight who's only loss is to a world champ. Eubank jr may not be in GGG's league but he's in his weight class

They didn't expect him to fight a welterweight.

WBA thought Lil G was trying to make fights with MW's and then suddenly announces a fight with a WW. Lil G fooled everyone with the lies. Enough is enough.
