I'm so tired of people trying to compare this fight to Leonard vs. Hagler! Brook's resume @ 147 is nowhere near the level of a Sugar Ray Leonard! To put Brook in the same sentence as Sugar Ray Leonard and Roberto Duran is blasphemy!!!

When they didn't order the fight they didn't expect him to fight a welterweight. If he'd contact them before they negotiated the Brook fight they wouldve said no and ordered the Jacobs fight.

They did the right thing here, but they just did the wrong thing again just recently! They made Avanesyan the mandatory for Thurman, because he beat Shane Mosely! WTF???

Yes they still suppose to have a mando for they belt no matter how crappy the opponent is, they need to just get rid of they own rankings and all belts compose a top 15

I totally agree with you! The WBA had a window where neither Jacobs nor GGG had an opponent and they should have ordered the fight!

Duran and sugar ray legacy would in fact exist because that was the norm back then as 154 was nonexistent so moving from 147-160 was the next option

Firstly, Gilberto Mendoza wouldn't have sanctioned the fight if we take into account his recent comments.
Secondly 154 has been about since the 60-70's.

If I'm Thurman, I don't have time for Avanesyan, and I would vacate the title ASAP in order to fight Garcia, Pacquiao, or Vargas! I might vacate just to fight Porter, Crawford, Spence Jr., Bradley, or Broner!
