Ok so you're backtracking now. So Hopkins is a watered down version of Monzons record, and Gggs will be water down next to Hopkins. And it's not interim, it's regular which freed up when Sturm bribed his way to the super title, to avoid his mando Ggg. That's why a lot of people will overlook it, Ggg was the real Wba champ. Sturm proved it with his repeat ducking.

WBA is the worst organization in Boxing. Really. All this super champ, regular champ, sparring partner champ, etc. crap. Who cares. If i remember correctly didn't Guillermo Jones hold the title for like a year and a half without defending it. Isn't it amazing too at all the haters on here. Perspective has to be used here, a huge PPV was fought by Geale against Mundine. Don't play dumb shyt, this is no different from Fluff Furry ducking Pulev in a final eliminator to line up a PPV versus Haye, one you claim was absolutely OK to do. Don't pretend it's one rule for Fluff and another for Danny regarding GGG, he came back around and optionally fought him to give him the most credible win of his career, you should be thankful to Geale other wise GGG's best win on his resume would be Rubio !! Ain't no joke either.

None of that is pertinent to the point I was making - GGG didn't ask to be made super champ in order to avoid a mandatory, he was upgraded automatically when Geale was stripped.

Julio Cesar Chavez holds records for most successful consecutive defenses of world titles (27). Does that mean he fought in 27 straight world title fights? No.

For example, after he fought Roger Mayweather a second time for the title, he fought Kenny Vice, Rodolfo Batta and Ramon Aramburu. He then continued his defense streak against Sammy Fuentes.

Having a non title fight sandwiched in between title fights doesn't stop the consecutive defense streak. But I realize we are dealing with guys who have the iq of a toilet bowl so I'm not surprised these lames don't get it.
