WRONG.

The title for which he is alleged to have made 16 consecutive defenses, the WBA title, is NOT on the line. Therefore, NO 17th defense of a MW title can be made in the Brook fight.

If the WBC and IBF titles are up for grabs then Bumlovkin will be making his 1st and 2nd defenses respectively of those titles.

I'm only telling you the fact of the matter, not seeking your agreement with the rating. That was the Ring rating, plain and simple. You set the standard of being top three rated, and he fit the standard.

the only top ten opponent he beat in the last 5 years was Timothy Bradley and the rest were guys moving up or coming off of loses(I think mosley may have been top ten by the ring but he was 1-1-1 before they fought, didn't look impressive at all)

If you follow boxing close enough, you don't need a sanctioning body or a magazine to tell you who the best are....ratings should be based off ring results but it seems to be politics more than anything nowadays

its been 2 years and people have crowned him the middleweight champion and he hasn't fought anyone in the top 3 since Geale....he is the number one contender..when he gets rid of the other guys in the ring then he'll be the champ/...he definitely has the talent and wished politics didn't prevent these fights.

Golovkin just made 16 straight MW title defenses. Fact.
His next fight will be another MW title defense. Fact.

Thats not how it works man..in the days of ABC titles Calzaghe got credit for 21 WBO title defenses...and Hopkins got credit for 20 IBF title defenses.....this will not count for Golovkins WBA title defenses..if will just add the anount of defenses for the other belts he holds....BACK IN THE DAY IT WAS STRICKLEY LINEAL DEFENSES
