If a champion has a non-title fight during his reign, that doesn't bring his title run to an end. Only losing the title would break GGG's run of consecutive defences.

u are half way right but u are half way cat **** wrong. if a champion has a none title defense that doesn't take away his belt (he's still the owner of that belt) but that ends his consecutive run of defending that title.

He is not having a non title fight dumba$$, his WBA strap wasn't sanctioned because guy never fought at mw ending consecutive defenses of WBA belt stop changing damn rules for your idol it happen I'm sure he will move on from it but he could of fought a worthwhile opponent and not take all this backlash for criticizing lil ginger boy

this is what u have to understand. boxing is a hard sport with no apologies. if the WBA isn't defended that officially breaks the record & he has to start from scratch. also this is A dagger to brook because lets say by some miracle brook wins he still can't have golovkins most prized trophy, brook doesn't even have the opportunity to break the streak if this is true.

that would have been taken away from him.

hate it or not but the WBA would have broke that streak themselves. & theres no ends or in betweens. maybe it would be another story if the tittle was on the line and the fight is ruled a NC. then i could understand but brook won't even have a chance to fight for the belt. again. even if he beats golovkin he won't get the title because WBA won't recognize the fight.

As far as the WBA title goes, GGG is having a non-title fight. But he is still the WBA champion and his title run will continue after he fights Brook.

If you don't believe me and are too stoopid to figure it out for yourself, just wait and see.
