Russians don't support our fighters...but plenty so-called americans ride or die with theirs.

They even fantasize about Russians taking over boxing.

Russians do support US fighters, they even supported the shell of Roy Jones so much that they made him a citizen.

Roy Jones & Oscar De La Hoya were Kovalev's favorite fighters.

Almost all the Russian fighters idolised US fighters of the 90s whether it was Tyson, Holyfield, Jones etc.

Trouble is, nowadays most of the US boxers aren't exciting like those guys to the point where it has even turned US fans off them. There is the odd exception, but they are rare.
