Because some boxers from former USSR have a world-class technique accompanied with entertaining style and good punching power. Look at Kovalev, Golovkin, Lomachenko, Beterbiev - they bring the excitement back to boxing. Without eastern europen boxers boxing in USA would be a contest between brawlers without defence and da slick bruvas who punch just several times per round.

I don't care where a guy is from. There is a doping epidemic is Russia, no doubt, but as long as guys are testing clean I'm not going to slag them. (fwiw, I don't consider Povetkin to have tested clean).
