There is no law that says boxing fans must only route for the fighters from the fan's country of origin. As a boxing fans, I enjoy watching a lot of different fighters with different styles from different countries. My support of them has nothing to do with their nationality, but more to do with a style and skin color that I like.

Fans can support whoever they want. It has nothing to do with my support of American or foreign fighters. I don't dumpster dive. I like Kovalev and what he has accomplished. However, I think he is going to get taken to school by Andre Ward. I don't care for Deontay Wilder and therefore, am hoping that Povetkin KO's Wilder when they fight. I am not a fan of Kilthschko, but I hate Tyson Fury and want to see him get KTFO. Therefore, I am pulling for Klithscko to win that fight.

Who cares where a fighter is from? Follow fighters because you like their style and they entertain you or you want to learn from them. Every fighter has something to offer. If you only pay attention to and analyze fighters from a particular nation or color, then you miss out on so much the sport has to offer, and your knowledge will never grow.
