Of course this fight ain't worth millions but that's the environment Haymon created.
Yeah but those crazy paydays are over. Lara only made $700k for Martirosyn.

Jermall never put up these kind of obstacles to fight Austin Trout, who's a bigger name than J-Rock. Jermall took $500k to Trout's $300k. What gives?

      Maybe he's getting lower?
But I just read he has until September 8 to sign with a datr and location or he'll be stripped and Williams-Harrison will be ordered. So we'll have an answer by next week.

Hmmmm.... what were the combined purses for Lara/Vanes and Lara/Delvin. I would guess they are similar. Vanes just took a larger share of the pot.

Vanes only made $400k for the rematch.

What a big pussay if he doesn't go through with this fight.

He'd get way more respect and love if he goes through with this fight and loses then if he ducks and vacates.

Ducking this fight can have big ramifications against him down the line.

I wouldn't advise him to vacate and duck. This type of fight is a career builder. If he loses in s valient effort there is no shame in that. If he wins then the sky is the limits. Taking chances and risk is what turns fighters into great fighters.

***ing young fighters have no clue.

This article from just this oast Friday says J-Rock trainer gas doubts the fight happens. But Ronnie Shields says Charlo wants to fight they're just waiting for the date and location.

                And Delvin got $140k

Last night on Spike Erislandy Lara won a dominate decision over Delvin Rodriguez at the UIC pavilion in Chicago, IL. The following are the purses that...

So both Lara vs Delvin and Lara vs Vanes were $1.1 million fights. The purses were just split different. That's a problem. Fighters have to take pay cuts for riskier fights because they have to squeeze quality opponents into the budget.

There's no reward for taking on bigger risks.

I hope so, I prefer to see Charlo/J-Rock (that's a fun fight), then the winner face Harrison, who's an improving fighter.

Injury aside, Charlo riled people up when he tweeted that Charlo/Williams was worth millions. He's now deleted that tweet.

Gotcha, good catch. Well if PBC is willing to spend that purse on Charlo/Williams, I could see J-Rock agreeing to take short enough money to get Charlo his million, but I'm sure he'd be pissed off for it.
