I'm not asking for ward to change his style...I'd just like to see him put touch more on his shots and let his hands loose a bit more. It was the same deal with mayweather for me, you know the guy has the capability to do it and just leaves you wanting. Even their biggest fans are not walking away from their fights completely satisfied...only cuz you want to see them showcase their full talent.
its up to the opponent to force you out of your comfort zone.....if what I am doing is working, im not going to change the game plan just to shut up a few detractors

boxing is about winning for the fighters which equals $$$$$$

If you are not a big puncher, standing and trading is not smart, you pick your spots and be defensively responsible

I dont penalize fighters for doing what works for them

      excuses are for losers.
Accusing him of Cheating is an excuse?

if he "cheated" as much as these posters accuse him of he would have several DQ losses.....people exaggerate the frequency of things to support a weak argument

where were all the fouls, clinches and head butts in his last few fights?

its pretty lame, because he never needed a biased ref or judge, he beats his opponents clearly each outting

Unfortunately just winning doesn't always equal $$$. I'm not talking about a fighter trading willingly or initiating exchanges...it's just nice to see a fighter punch with intention of follow up with another punch here and there. At the absolute highest level, fighters should be able to execute those techniques with mustard on their shots...that's the difference between amateur and proffessional imo. And we've all seen times where it was clear a fighter could press his advantage more, but chooses to coast. It's ok to say you're not 100% entertained all the time by mayweather or ward....you're not gonna get your fan club card pulled.

should, could would hasn't done nothing

Niccolino Locche is one of the greatest junior welterweights ever and his ko ratio is closer to 10% than 50 %

every one doesn't have power whether it be the highest level or not

you make the most out of the physical gifts you have and fight a style best suited for yourself

At the highest level, fighters should know how to work out of a clinch, avoid them and use them when necessary but it seems some people don't understand that these techniques are taught in the amatuers so a seasoned pro is expected to know these things, not make excuses for them

What entertains you, may not entertain me, and watching a war with no strategy and technique is boring to me, that's why I hardly ever watch UFC...they look amateurish

I can appreciate all styles...no fighter in history has been exciting in every fight.

What makes this such a compelling fight is that whether you're picking Kovalev or Ward, and if you're being completely honest, it's hard to truly feel confident either way.

I see fear from the guy's who constantly question the refs, venue, headbutts, and whatever else they can gather from the Ward-Kessler fight. I swear these guys wanted their to be no fight rather than seeing the fight get made and then go on to make excuses for Kov beforehand

They are all Golovkin fans doing the hating. They enjoy mismatches of course they'll hate on two top P4P fighters fighting each other.
